Because I think they have a right to do what they want with what they’ve built And if it helps them stay stable, or better, grow then that’s great because at the end of the day some players buy it. It’s a way to support beyond initial. If you can’t, then why focus on single items? Cosmetics are everywhere in gaming now, ‘the more it will infest’ is a negative narrow perspective. The game is more amazing and beautiful than ever. Despite a ton of bugs which is not normal for wow at all. I forgive them for the bugs for the pace of all the new stuff they are dropping for solo end game (and potentially getting use to using ai, if they are)

The best practice would be implement NFTs through super rare in-game content that could only sell through blizz marketp.

We warned about these cosmetic prices getting out of hand, and retards said "ITS ONLY $5!" yeah well, now they're minimum $20, sonetimes over $100, were drowning in battle passes, live services, and all this in SP offline games too

That game would have been popular in like 2019. I also think they made a bad investment with GameInformer. That's another component that was missing from web3 content. Most of it centered around $$$$ and not gameplay. OTG may have laid some groundwork but I don't think they will be around to see the fruits of their labor sadly.

A million players. Micro cash shops printing... for a while. Then cosmetics fatigue hits. Burnout. Devs scramble to stay fresh, but growth dies in 10-20 years. Marketplace trade fees compound forever — dwarfing any flash-in-the-pan MTX cash grab. Short-term thinking kills legends. Long-term ownership builds them.
