Much like being a disabled person during COVID-time, because of [3rd party] accessibility issues, I won’t be here much. Replying in a timely manner as I can but not reading everything like I was… take care. Stay safe. Wear a mask.

To build a more equitable city, it’s Calgarians and our values that need to change first. In my latest essay, i argue that making room for more nuanced discourse, criticism, is an essential step to creating a society that builds better cities. 🔗 below

If you are a Canadian #GenX, you may have noticed less spring snow on the ground over your lifetime. Since the 1970s, spring #SnowCover has declined by 1.9% per decade in May and 6.8% per decade in June.

Food banks first appeared in Canada in the '80s as a temporary measure to alleviate food insecurity. Decades later they are in every city and far more people are dependent on them for survival. Canada is one of the most resource-rich countries on earth, yet people are forced to exist on charity and handouts. I can't hate our governments enough.

It's so frustrating that the only real obstacle to making all medical care safely accessible is healthcare workers choosing to be assholes.

The main reason Calgary should keep the “blanket rezoning” policy is to get rid of the bottleneck keeping governments from taking action on initiatives that will actually improve affordability for low- and moderate income households. That’s my two cents on the subject.

A most useful thing would be a conveyor line that transported trash to be picked and sorted by high speed robots… kinda like how some food processors use the cameras and flickers to sort things like potatoes & then the reuse/recycle the sorting since it could be done safe/fast

@nenshi Alberta elected a Trump-lite thieving UCP grifter government. Public tax money has been funneled into their pockets and and the hands of cronies. Stripping the province of resources for personal profit is all this UCP government does. Alberta deserve a gov't working for Albertans

Bad priorities. Wasteful spending. Massive tax hikes. A $9B deficit during a boom. We've got to ask: Where'd the money go?

Today on World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, we join the global commitment: ‘Yes! We can end TB!’ Our call is for accelerated action to close the health gap and eliminate TB, which continues to disproportionately impact First Nations. TB is both preventable and treatable. Knowing the symptoms and supporting treatment saves lives. The AFN is advocating for accessible, stigma-free, and culturally safe TB services. Guided by Resolution 77/24, we are developing a First Nations-led strategy to end TB in First Nations communities. Learn more about our work: ow.ly/KY5r50VnCXm #WorldTBDay #EndTB

This is awkward... Today Nenshi asked Amery about the missing pages from the Wyant Report... Amery indignantly insisted Nenshi didn't know what he was talking about. Hours before the pages were added back in. Did Amery not even know? Not a great look for the lawyer in chief.
