Excited to share our bioRxiv preprint on delta-type ionotropic glutamate receptor, GluD1! Using cryo-EM and electrophysiology, we show for the first time that human GluD1 functions as an ion channel, activated by GABA and D-serine. biorxiv.org/content/10.648…

Delighted to share a preprint from my PhD work where I demonstrate the local membrane deformations caused by protein crowding. Impact of toxins on the membrane properties was not our original plan but aggregation of PFTs on membranes got me interested in the underlying mechanism.
