Isreal is doing to Lebanon as they did to Gaza… FATHER AND SON KILLED FOR WALKING HOME. They didn't carry weapons; they carried memories and a simple dream of going home.

I’ve just learned of the killing by Israel of one of the most courageous people I knew: rescuer Hussein Jaber from the Lebanese Civil Defence in Nabatieh. I had known him for three years and met him many times. He was always inspiring, brave and endlessly helpful for many reporters. We will not forget what Israel has done to Lebanon’s rescuers. We will not forget Hussein.

The number of victims and witnesses who have come forward testifying that dogs are used to sexually assault Palestinians in detention is far too numerous to be written off. There are some abuses Israel carries out that are so barbaric and unconscionable that they make the person who repeats what they did sound crazy. This is one of them, and it’s now thoroughly documented.
Hillel Fuld@HilzFuld

The NY Times just published a piece claiming that Israeli soldiers used dogs to rape Palestinians. This is not a joke. I repeat. This is not a joke. I wouldn’t use this trash as toilet paper. The NYT has zero credibility left. Zero!

This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here's a gift link to the article: nytimes.com/2026/05/11/opi…

Tomorrow in America we celebrate Mother’s Day, honoring the blessing of motherhood. Israel just killed this young mother and her 2 year old daughter in Lebanon. America funds Israel $3.8 billion annually and provides weapons and military support, defense, and assistance.

Israel killed Maryam today in Saksakiyeh, South Lebanon. She was only 2 years old. They killed her mother too — Jana, 24 years old. A baby and her mother. This is what Israel’s bombs do. This is who they kill.

💢 Children Among 15 Killed Across Southern Lebanon in Saturday Strikes, 12-year-old Girl Hunted in Double-Tap Israeli forces killed 5 people across southern Lebanon on Saturday, according to Al Mayadeen, when strikes hit a wide stretch of towns including Burj Rahhal in the Tyre district — struck twice in the same day — and Nabatieh, where a civilian was killed and his injured daughter was hunted down with double-tap strikes. Saturday’s strikes also hit Zrariyeh, Tayr Debba, Barish, Maaroub, Kfar Rumman, Mayfadoun, Arnoun, Shehabiyeh, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Kafra, Haris, Hadatha, Majdal Selm, and Mansouri. The daytime attacks followed a deadly overnight escalation in which 10 people were killed, including two children, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health. Three died in Zrariyeh, two in Anqoun in the Saida district, and one in Mayfadoun where four others were wounded. Israeli warplanes and artillery also struck Jebchit, Deir al-Zahrani, Kfar Tebnit, Haboush, and areas around Bint Jbeil, where demolition operations continued in border towns. All strikes came despite a ceasefire in effect since April 17. Journalist @cbonneauimages reports the latest from the ground in Lebanon ⬇️

What does terrorism mean to you? If it’s no double-tap killings of paramedics, journalists, and today a 12 year old girl, then what is it? Westerners, where is your humanity? Cameraman: @aliezzedine7

An Israeli drone targeted a 12 year old girl THREE times today in Nabatieh. She and her father were on a motorcycle when they were first struck. They both survived, but the drone hit again, killing her father. As the wounded child fled, the drone struck a third time. The girl survived, but is seriously injured and is being treated in hospital.

Around 8,000 bodies are still believed buried in the Gaza rubble. There's one working excavator for bodies and no DNA testing available in the territory. Another powerful story by NPR's Anas Baba. npr.org/2026/05/06/nx-…

I’m shocked at the silence of American “Christians” about what Israel did in Gaza and now southern Lebanon. Our tax dollars, money we work for and pay to our government, paid for this. When I tried to defund Israel, only 5 other members of Congress voted with me. Now we are all stained with the blood of the innocent.
sarah@sahouraxo

Israel has wiped out 39 villages in South Lebanon and destroyed 40,000 homes. 39 centuries-old historic villages entirely erased from the map. In just 60 days. This is ethnic cleansing. This is terrorism. And not a peep from the complicit “international community”, of course.

Smaller than the Irish county of Galway, the occupied West Bank has over 900 military checkpoints, barriers and roadblocks. Illegal settlers steal the land, live under Israeli law and are protected by the @IDF. Palestinians live under military law. What I am witnessing here is shocking. #apartheid

Let’s talk about Khaled Daher. A paramedic in Lebanon’s Civil Defence. Not a fighter. Not a “target.” A first responder who ran toward danger to save lives. Two days ago, he was killed, along with two of his colleagues, when they were directly targeted while trying to rescue a civilian trapped under rubble. But his story doesn’t start there. Khaled wasn’t just a paramedic. He was the backbone of his family. After his brother died in Bulgaria, he went searching for him, across borders & through uncertainty, until he finally located his grave & brought him back to Lebanon, where he laid him to rest. He then became a father figure to his brother’s daughter, raising her as his own, carrying a responsibility that wasn’t his to bear, but one he chose anyway. He was a son, a brother, a provider, a quiet pillar holding others up. And in the end, he died the same way he lived, trying to save someone else. Khaled Daher didn’t just lose his life. His family lost their support. People lost the man who showed up when everything else fell apart. His niece has now lost both fathers. Khaled spent his life saving others. He was killed while doing exactly that. This is what is being lost. Over 103 medics and rescue workers have been killed since March 2. Not numbers. First responders. Lives that held other lives together.
