Every other country which is even moderately successful without oil focus more on STEM than “muh humanities”. Even the well off states in India have more STEM focus while UP/Bihar is full of BAtards. We need more nurses not more wordcelling gawars.
liz@L1fafaforSale

If you’re wondering why Indians have such poor media literacy, critical thinking and why we are susceptible to propaganda, this is why - overhyping of STEM subjects and derision of any education that’s not considered lucrative !!!

@vjgtweets @AkhiPill (1) is not really true. It was especially harsh during the delhi sultanate. mass slavery drove prices of slaves below cattle. large mandirs were demolished in the north entirely, there are none to be found. only small mandirs inside a mansion or walled property survived.

by the Japanese, the Communists had to flee, crossing the border into Siberia in 1942. Zhao Shangzhi stayed behind and died at the hands of the Japanese. The city of Zhuhe was renamed Shangzhi in his honour in 1946.'

Japanese, so they follow them. If the people are more afraid of us than of the Japanese, they will follow us!’ Ultimately, due to mass desertions, fighting between different armed factions, defections to the enemy, widespread fear among the population and ruthless suppression

'Still, the villagers fared little better under the Communists, who not only raided, pillaged and ransomed, but also burned, hanged and killed villagers suspected of working for the Japanese. At first, individuals were targeted. A propaganda team would arrive in the middle of ---

'Before the establishment of a soviet, the main source of revenue for the Communists had been plunder and ransom. The guerrilla fighters would enter a village, confiscate the assets of those deemed to be enemies of the revolution, boldly proclaim the abolition of all taxes and --

Social media penetration was very limited prior to Jio revolution, Congress had gotten away for saying outrageous remarks which never registered on people's mind nor were there socio-political influencers as such. The resurfacing of old tweets is testament to horror of UPA era.

Whenever I see a racist tweet targeting indians, I like playing this guessing game whether it's a yt supremacist nazi or Indian leftist. They are so close to saying "n^ke india"

If you want to understand the US, this video would be a very good place to start The median American is not interested in what happens overseas. This is a constraint on the US government (voters don’t like foreign adventurism) but also liberates the government as well (you can do what you want and you don’t need to build “consensus” at home. Do most Americans support the air war in Iran? Does it matter? Even asking the question is the wrong frame in my opinion) But woe to the politician in DC who forgets The First Commandment of American interventionism: Thou Shalt Not Visit the Consequences on Americans America is very big, very rich, and usually able to externalize the downsides of its foreign policy on others. So in practice, American politicians can get away with a lot. But most countries don’t have this luxury You read a lot of moralizing commentary on X about how America’s decisions will inevitably blow back on the US. But this never really seems to happen. Believing in some sort of divine or programmed moral comeuppance is a kind of cope. It will never arrive

No one can match D.N Jha in such stuff his ancient India has out of context seething and potshots on Hindu nationalists after every 2 pages somewhere Gujarat genocide comes up, somewhere B.B lal is compared to a Nazi archeologist, somewhere he starts crying on Babri very annoying
Satish Verma@satoverma

Started reading 'Trade and Traders in Early Indian Society' by Ranabir Chakravarti and the author starts the preface to the third edition (written in 2020) with an unhinged rant on muscular nationalism and how legal judgements (probably Ram Janmbhumi one) are ignoring history.
