A 14-year-old Melbourne girl facing more than 100 charges has been let off scot-free because her lawyer says she is too young to understand the consequences of her actions. Police say she terrorised the Jewish community in Ripponlea and deliberately ran down a cyclist with a stolen car. @LauraTurner_7

This is awesome - local council told its community in the Hawkes Bay that it couldn’t rebuild a bridge because it would cost $16 million.
So local farmer got his own quote - which came in at $2.75 million.
Thats a 482% difference.
When people say there’s not enough money, what it often means is there isn’t enough fresh thinking.
We need more innovation in procurement.

Mass migration is now driving more than half of Australia’s projected economic growth.
Instead of fixing productivity, boosting housing supply, and easing cost of living pressures, the government is relying on endless population growth.
Australians deserve an economy built on productivity — not population expansion.

This is crazy: the federal government is using all the NDIS savings and almost all the NDIS savings + tax increases to pay itself due to a massive $19.6 billion cost blow-out on the bureaucracy over the next four years compared to forecasts in last year’s budget.
Put another way, over the four overlapping Budget years from 2025–26 to 2028–29, the government has increased the cost of running the bureaucracy by $19.6bn — enough to consume virtually all (99%) of the $19.8bn in NDIS savings it claims, 93% of those savings plus its negative-gearing/CGT tax grab, and 14.5 times the property/investor tax increase itself...
"The average staffing level increases from 215,900 this year to 217,300 in 2026-27. Since the Albanese government came to power in 2022, the size of the public service has ballooned by a quarter."

An Adelaide ABC listener broke down in tears on Breakfast radio today, challenging the “generational wealth” narrative during the Federal Budget discussion.
I’m guessing Linda voted Labor and is now having massive regrets.
This government keeps pitting young against old, creating division where none should exist.

Aussies: “We need to minimise immigration.”
Gov: “No, we aren’t doing that.”
Aussies: “Rent is too expensive.”
Gov: “Good point. We’ll increase costs for landlords so they have to charge you more.”
Aussies..."Electricity is too expensive"
Gov..."We're committed to net zero...regardless of the cost to you!"
Aussies: “I can’t keep up with the cost of living.”
Gov: “Too bad. We can’t stop spending more than we’re making, so inflation will keep rising.”
Aussies: “The NDIS is scamming taxpayers out of millions every year.”
Gov: “Yeah, but we don’t want to offend the NDIS scammers — they might call us racist.”
Aussies: “Okay fine, we gave you a chance. We’re voting @OneNationAus.”
Gov: “You filthy, uneducated racist.”

#BREAKING Australia will receive another 990,000 migrants between 2026 and 2028.
The new figure was released on Tuesday in Treasurer Jim Chalmers' 2026-27 federal budget, projecting net overseas migration for the next years.
This comes after a record high peak of 538,000 new migrants in 2022.
And despite repeated promises to “rein in the numbers”

Did you see the news this morning?
There were 97,550 permanent and long-term arrivals into Australia in March this year.1
That’s 3145 people a day who need housing, hospitals and police.
While you were at work. While your kids were at school. Every day. Every week. For 31 days straight.
All while Australians cannot find a home. Cannot pay rent. Cannot keep up.
This is what it looks like when Labor does not put Australians first.

Immigration will be higher than promised again this year, Labor has admitted in the 2026 Budget.
Revised figures show net overseas migration under Anthony Albanese will be at least 2 million by the 2028 federal election.
