the 6am candle is the most ignored edge in futures trading London open the session that sets the trap here's what happens at 6am EST: institutions come online they see where Asia left price they decide: "are we continuing or reversing?" that decision prints on the 6am H4 candle if 6am sweeps the Asia high then starts going bearish → they're going down if 6am sweeps the Asia low then start going bullish → they're going up if 6am does nothing → wait for more information I used to trade blind like everyone else got chopped up constantly then I started watching what happened at 6am realized: the move was already decided 3.5 hours before NY open I was showing up late to a game that already started now my process: 6am: mark the candle, note the sweep, identify the bias 9:30: wait for a pullback into the direction 6am told me if 6AM does nothing, wait for 10AM. I'm not predicting I'm just reading what London already decided the 6am candle is the answer most traders don't even know the test already happened
