Excellent breakdown of crypto neobanks by @0xfishylosopher. There are 20+ crypto neobanks all essentially building the same product - differentiation is more critical than ever. The clearest opportunities: (1) small, geographic monopolies through stablecoin banking, or (2) novel credit primitives, such as undercollateralized lending models or unique private credit opportunities.

I had bank accounts in multiple countries and here's my track record: 🇺🇸 US: Visa card got frozen while traveling in Cambodia. Called Chase, they said I was fraud. 🇨🇳 China: Money frozen for a year while they "updated my residency status". Spent 2 hours in person at a branch to close my account. 🇭🇰 Hong Kong: account closed for inactivity. 🇨🇦 Canada: account got frozen. 🌎 Everywhere: phone calls, diligence forms, go into branch to explain my life. The system isn't built for people who live globally. And there's no good alternative. So I learned to never trust banks because any one of them could freeze me tomorrow without warning. I want to vibe code an MVP: a stablecoin-native bank designed for global citizens. No arbitrary freezes because it's non-custodial. No residency interrogations. If your token is launched on anything outside of MetaDAO, Soar, or Street, I don’t trust it. There are exceptions to the rule for sure. But for the most part, most tokenholders don’t have upside in the business behind the token. Ownership models fix this.

Since people keep asking me about the new neobank launch - short answer: There is no second Ore. There is no second META. And there definitely isn’t a "second" Avici.

The next Avici angle is going to trigger some Avici holders to get defensive but these projects can coexist as they’re going after different markets. Important factor is being paired to Virtuals which is down 50% from last months highs. Double edged sword. Even Tibbir is down almost 60%. At the end of the day if everyone thinks the cycle is over very few have a chance. Still bullish on $WIRE longer term that can continue to generate revenue, complete buy backs, and add liquidity outside the virtuals pool. Also part of one of the best narratives/use cases long term and business not dependent on retail adoption.

Four projects which were hyped af just a month ago. These are solid projects so believe me I am not fudding. It pains me to see these charts. But my only conclusion is fundamentals don’t matter, only whales/community/sentiment. Once ppl start selling, the dominoes fall. Have to treat them like memecoins.

On / off ramps in crypto are still awful. Today most of the flow for on / off ramp goes through CEXes but each CEX in the west has so many conditions on each jurisdiction. Someone has to clean this up and set the industry standard because things cannot continue like this.
