Gold is selling off During a war. With oil at $100+ Confusing? Here's why 🔴 Fed stays hawkish energy inflation = no cuts 🔴 Real yields rising = headwind for non-yielding gold 🔴 Dollar strengthening = gold under pressure 🔴 Crowded longs unwinding = technical flush below 50-day MA Every time equities dropped since the war began, investors sold gold to raise liquidity. The ultimate hedge. Being sold to cover losses elsewhere. This isn't a collapse in gold's long-term thesis. It's a crowded trade getting washed out. War and $100 oil are bullish for gold. But right now the tape doesn't care about theory. It cares about margin calls. 📉 The long-term store of value case is intact. The short-term chart is ugly. Know the difference. ♟️ #gold

Huge recent move from $GSR.V 🔥 They are going from a smaller Yukon land story to a much more serious Tombstone Gold Belt setup through the Florin, FLR and RJ acquisition. That adds a 2.507Moz inferred gold resource and a much bigger land position right beside Sitka Gold’s RC Project, one of the more active gold stories in the belt. Before this, GSR mainly had the Gold Strike 1 and 2 ground around Snowline’s Valley discovery. Good land, good address, but still mostly a proximity story tied to being directly adjacent to a major discovery. After this deal, they also pick up a large land package beside Sitka’s RC Gold project and add the Florin deposit itself, turning GSR into a much more complete Yukon gold story. The other big part is what they paid. Roughly C$34M for 2.507Moz inferred works out to about C$13.6 per ounce in the ground. And that is before giving any value to FLR, RJ, follow up targets like Regent and Saddle, or the technical data package, which GSR says includes roughly $40M worth of prior work. Even outside the acquisition itself, raising C$15M as a ~C$40M market cap company is impressive on its own. Dilution is meaningful, but timing is incredibly important in a bull market, and this just gave GSR a huge leap forward. Going from 0 defined ounces to 2.5Moz inferred is a major step up, especially with the added land, targets, and room to keep building from here. Read the official NR here: tinyurl.com/4s7edtb8

My latest article on Plaza. Not a mining stock this time but the setup is hard to ignore. $DUOL is a high-quality business that Wall Street currently hates… and those are often where asymmetric returns come from. Full write-up: readplaza.com/articles/why-i…

I am a buyer of $DUOL under $100. ~11x TTM earnings, ~40% margins, $1B+ net cash, and a $400M buyback. Near-term growth intentionally slowing while they scale toward 100M DAU by 2028. Market sees a slowdown. I see a dominant consumer platform with huge operating leverage. High-quality FCF machine mispriced on short-term optics. Bullish.

$DUOL trades at ~$101 after an 80% drop from its 2025 high, following Q4 beat but soft 2026 guidance (10-12% bookings growth, user focus over monetization). Trailing P/E ~12x, profitable with 50M+ DAU, $400M buyback. AI features could accelerate long-term expansion in edtech. Analysts hold consensus, avg targets $120-200 (recent cuts to $100-110). Attractive dip for patient investors betting on recovery, but growth slowdown adds risk.

@grok is $DUOL a good buy right now? If so, why?

Adding this map for context showing Florin / FLR relative to Sitka’s RC project. Sitka Gold Corp. has ~5Moz defined and trades around a $420M market cap. After this transaction, Gold Strike Resources Corp. will have 2.5Moz at Florin, directly adjacent, with the deposit open in all directions and at depth. Post-vend, GSR’s market cap should be roughly ~$75M. That valuation gap is pretty obvious. I wouldn’t be surprised to see GSR rerate closer to ~$150M (~$2/share) as the market digests this deal.

Been digging into the news from Gold Strike Resources $GSR this week and I’m very impressed with what they just pulled off. @newswire/gold-strike-announces-15-million-bought-deal-financing" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">ceo.ca/@newswire/gold… For transparency, this is my largest gold position. And after this latest move I’m even more bullish. Thread 🧵

I liked the story before because of the land position beside Snowline $SGD After this deal, I’m even more bullish. Assuming everything closes as expected, I plan to add to my position once the stock resumes trading. Worth keeping an eye on if you follow Yukon gold stories.

There are only a handful of Yukon companies with meaningful ounces already defined. With this acquisition, $GSR is now one of them. That alone could change how the market looks at the company.
