The person on the left is a closet extremist from Ind!a inspired by Ibn Tamiyya. The person on the right is a modernist from Pakistan inspired by Sir Syed, Edhi etc. The left one is invited by the 'govt of Pakistan' to teach I$lam. The right one can't return to his own country.

Zaira Waseem @ZairaWasimmm - You are Misinterpreting the Quranic Versus. Here is the correct argument of Majority of Traditional Ulema of Islam Regarding the مقام of the Prophets (عليهم السلام) The claim that the Qur’anic verse “Say: I am only a man like you…” proves that the Prophets (عليهم السلام) are merely “normal people like others” is a serious misinterpretation and a misunderstanding of both Qur’anic language and classical Islamic scholarship. First, the Qur’an itself repeatedly shows that this exact statement calling Prophets “just humans like us” was the argument of disbelievers who rejected divine guidance. Evidence from the Qur’an 1. In Surah Hud (11:27), the قوم of Prophet Nuh said: “We do not see you but as a man like ourselves.” 2. In Surah Ibrahim (14:10), the nations addressed Prophet Hud and Prophet Salih: “You are nothing but humans like us.” 3. In Surah Al-Anbiya (21:3), the disbelievers said about Prophet Muhammad: “Is this but a human like you?” ➡️ These verses are not endorsements they are quotes of disbelievers, condemned within the Qur’an. Correct Understanding of “بشر مثلكم” (A Human Like You) When the Qur’an says: “I am only a بشر (human) like you…” it does NOT mean equality in rank, status, or مقام. Rather, it clarifies: Prophets are not divine (not gods) But they are chosen, purified, and elevated by Allah The very same verse continues: “…it is revealed to me…” (يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ) This is the key distinction ➡️ Wahy (Revelation) makes them fundamentally different from ordinary humans. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ clearly said: “I am not like you.” (Sahih al-Bukhari) And in another narration: “Who among you is like me?” ➡️ This explicitly negates the idea that he ﷺ is “like ordinary people.” عقیدہ اہلِ سنت (Sunni Understanding) The أهل السنة والجماعة position is balanced and rooted in Qur’an and Sunnah: ✔️ Prophets are human (بشر) ❌ But not ordinary humans (عام انسان) ✔️ They are best of creation (أفضل الخلق) ✔️ Granted special مقام, نور, علم, and قرب to Allah To reduce them to “just normal people”: contradicts Qur’anic context, echoes arguments of disbelievers and ignores clear Hadith evidence The statement that Prophets (عليهم السلام) are merely “normal people like us” is: ❌ A misinterpretation of Qur’anic verses ❌ A selective reading ignoring context ❌ A view that mirrors the كلام of disbelievers mentioned in the Qur’an ✔️ The correct belief is: They are human, but not like us, they are divinely chosen, أعلى مقام, and unique in every sense.
