Close to a 4x on $BAND now since we highlighted it in our agentic utilities primer
I have been trying to stick with bigger companies but sometimes the small ones are just too compelling. $HLIT looking pretty interesting now too on cOS platform (as AI usage moves from occasional chatbot queries to persistent agents, multimodal streaming, home/work inference traffic, edge devices, automated enterprise workflows, etc etc…broadband networks need more upstream capacity, lower latency, better quality-of-service and cheaper network operations).

Honestly though, the stock isn’t even down 7% after the $3B ATM offering news.

Just trimmed 75 shares of $RKLB at $133.35 to receive $10,000. I’ve wanted to get better at taking profits and holding cash for other opportunities, and this feels like a good price to do a little of that. Still plan on selling another 125 shares if we get a pump after the SpaceX IPO. That’d leave me with 4000 shares for the long(er) term, and would complete the 20% trim I planned a while back. Of course I’ll share if I buy anything with these proceeds!

Massive day for two smaller space names added recently to the Space Catalyst portfolio, for subscribers.
$AMPG was added at $2.35 last week, and $MNTS at $5.60 last month.
That portfolio is now up 75% since inception, only two months ago. Congrats everyone!

I own both $ASTS and $RKLB. I like both companies. But the SpaceX S-1 just settled a debate that some people in the space investing community have been having for months.
SpaceX broke down their own TAM in their SEC filing:
Space Launch: $370 billion
Satellite Connectivity: $1.6 trillion
Connectivity is 4x the launch TAM. By SpaceX's own math.
And it shows up in their revenue. Starlink generated $11.4 billion in 2025 — roughly 61% of SpaceX's total revenue — growing nearly 50% year over year. Launch, the business Rocket Lab competes in, is the minority of SpaceX's business and shrinking as a percentage every year.
SpaceX didn't name Rocket Lab as a competitor in their S-1. They named $ASTS. By name. In a legally binding federal document.
Because the market that matters most in space isn't who can get things to orbit the fastest. It's who owns the connectivity layer once it gets there.
Now look at the valuations.
$RKLB: ~$75 billion market cap. $200M in quarterly revenue. Trading at roughly 90x forward sales. A great company executing well in a $370 billion launch TAM.
$ASTS: ~$34 billion market cap. The only public pure-play in a $740 billion D2D TAM that SpaceX just validated in their own SEC filing. Launching broadband satellites next month. 98.9 Mbps already proven. All three US carriers in a JV around it. Nearly 60 MNO partners globally covering 3 billion subscribers. $1.2B in contracted revenue commitments. MDA SHIELD contract. 10 government use cases. AND the most valuable spectrum position in D2D on earth — 1,150 MHz of tunable MNO spectrum globally, 45 MHz of L-band MSS in North America secured for 80+ years, and 60 MHz of S-band priority rights worldwide. SpaceX paid $17 billion just to get 65 MHz of D2D spectrum. AST already has more than anyone.
Rocket Lab is worth more than double AST right now.
That's the valuation gap the SpaceX S-1 just made impossible to ignore.
I'm not anti-Rocket Lab. I own it. But when SpaceX themselves tell the SEC that connectivity is 4x the launch TAM — and then name AST as their competitor in that market — the math on which stock represents the better opportunity becomes pretty clear.
The market the world is building toward is broadband from space to every phone on earth.
SpaceX filed the TAM. SpaceX named the competitor.
$ASTS is trading at less than half of $RKLB.

$ASTS some things never change. Almost feels like RKLB could be tapping their ATM already, which naturally would cause some weakness in the stock, but of course algos have ASTS highly correlated to RKLB and some other space stocks, which is dragging the sector lower as the broader market is showing strength

On top of all this institutional interest, @defianceinvest is now filing to offer a 2X leveraged LONG $TRT ETF. So if the normal TRT volatility is not enough for you (up 2x in one day, to a crash 44% next), this might be something for you. Defiance offers many 2x LONG/SHORT products from $ASTS to $BMNR. They have recently also filed for a 2X LONG $SIVE.

$INFQ exactly 1 month post unlock - 235M shares have traded from 4/20, not including any puts or boxed shares from before unlock. Shares short went down 75% from 4/17 to 4/27- so a handful of shares were boxed before the unlock
Are legacy shareholders done selling? Maybe, or they are very close. INFQ has underperformed the other quantums significantly over the past 30 days - maybe it's time for a catch-up trade...
And the new government award is a great catalyst to get this moving back in the right direction

Company is a good one but that is a lot of shares to churn, especially when many shareholders have cost basis in the pennies. $ASTS someone came in around 3:11 and again now to do everything possible to prevent the breakout. Can see it clearly when looking at the space basket as a whole. This reeks of short sellers doing everything possible to prevent this from closing over $90. Dangerous game they're playing
