Protecting health workers with WHO guidance that implies droplet protection is enough? Allowing them to think they are adequately protected by loose fitting masks that SARS-CoV-2, TB, influenza, RSV, Marburg etc laden aerosols can bypass, is exposing workers to unnecessary risk and is misleading and negligent. As models of inappropriate behaviour they are in turn misleading their patients. #WHWWeek should be an opportunity to better protect with our advancing knowledge of the science of respiratory pathogen transmission #COVIDisAirborne

From @EricTopol. I remember looking at annual costs to the bloody ‘economy’ of influenza, pre-Covid. It ran into the billions, in Australia. Clean air is one of the best ROIs imaginable for modern economies.
