@HelenBrosnan Graham Platner is like a left wing Ken Paxton without the establishment credentials. His personal life choices and past comments have made him a liability. Stop pretending this guy is a savior.

@Tyre_94 Lighten up. This country is going into incompetent socialism either way one will have far left social policies the other will have far right social policies. Both run on idiotic grievance based fiscal policy that’s about redistribution of wealth.

@steppedenizen That’s the case in New Orleans already. Plus New Orleans has the worst roads and city layout for large scale public transportation like buses.

🚨BREAKING:🚨SASHA OBAMA, DAUGHTER OF FORMER PRESIDENT, SEEN WEARING MAGA HAT - The daughter of DISGRACED former President Barack Obama was reportedly seen in a Washington DC restaurant this morning wearing a red "Make America Great Again" baseball cap. When asked by a passer-by about the pro-Trump attire, Sasha Obama allegedly replied with a strong DENOUNCEMENT of her father's presidency and stated that she is "a registered Republican who proudly voted for and stands with President Trump". "My father nearly destroyed this country and President Trump is still trying to clean up his mess", the next generation Obama told the curious gentleman who questioned her about her hat. When asked if she believed she was betraying her dad, she is said to have replied, "As I've gotten older, I've realized that I am my own woman and can make up my own mind. Trump was right about everything". She then walked out of the restaurant donning her MAGA cap with a big smile on her face. Do YOU agree with Sasha Obama that her father was A DISASTROUS PRESIDENT and that President Trump is SAVING AMERICA from his UNPRECEDENTED DESTRUCTION of our country?

@White_Raven9515 I don’t think the State of Louisiana should be able to vote on something as local as a school district breaking off from a parish. That’s the issue. EBR should be the only parish the vote on it and that’s it.

It is completely wrong to hold St. George hostage just to fund a broken school system. This isn't public service—it’s just taking tax dollars from one part and sending them to another. Look at the facts. EBR schools have a "C" rating, while the two districts that broke away have "A" averages. The proof is right there. St. George tried to be reasonable and work things out for years, but the school board wouldn't hear it. They don’t want to represent these families, they just want their money. I know people voted "no" because that's what they were told to do, but St. George deserves to keep its own tax dollars for its own kids. Right now, parents are paying outrageous taxes for a terrible system, while their kids face an hour-long drive to high school. Because of that, regular working families are making huge sacrifices to pay for private school out of pocket. It’s completely tone-deaf for people to say, "Well, you have the money, just pay for private school and keep funding EBR." Not everyone here is rich. These families are making real sacrifices for their kids' future. What is truly crazy is seeing self-proclaimed conservatives support a big-government agenda that milks people for cash with zero representation. Now I understand why it was voted down. No one truly read through these amendments, and it just shows why it’s so important to keep yourself informed. This is the only amendment I’m going to speak on, because it's the only one that is truly detrimental to families around here.

Maybe Republicans just need to leave the Louisiana constitution alone. #lalege

A Paris Match journalist's new book claims French President Macron had a months-long "platonic" flirtation with Franco-Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani — exchanging messages including "I find you very pretty". The infamous May 2025 tarmac incident in Hanoi where Brigitte appeared to slap him was actually a couple's fight after she saw the messages on his phone mid-flight. Brigitte's camp denies it. Farahani hasn't commented on this specific claim. Source: @AlertesInfos

The Supreme Court has given license to have 45,000 VOTES CAST TO BE THROWN OUT BY LOUISIANA’S GOVERNOR. Make America Great Again? Jim Crow has returned. America will never face its racist past because it indicts its identity of liberty and justice for all. There is Blood on that Ballot Box
Headquarters@HQNewsNow

Reporter: More than 45,000 ballots have been returned in Louisiana. What happens to those? GOP Gov. Jeff Landry: Oh, those ballots are discarded. Reporter: You say that like it’s not a big deal. Landry: Well, it’s not a big deal. It’s not my fault

@LeslieProll @60Minutes Half the congressmen (Fields and Jefferson) are viewed as corrupt. The other two are too left to Louisiana in a statewide race. And the last serious black candidate was Kip Holden when he ran for Lt Governor back in 2015.

One-third of Louisianans are Black. Yet, since Reconstruction, LA has never elected a Black person statewide & has had only 4 Black Congressmen. But LA Governor Jeff Landry just told @60Minutes: “I want LA to be finally unshackled from decades of litigation.” Yes, he said that.

#lalege STATEMENT FROM SENATOR JAY MORRIS REGARDING COMMENTS IN SENATE AND GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE HEARING TODAY   I want to assure the public that I did not use any profanity or any derogatory or pejorative term in referring to anyone in the audience at today’s Senate and Governmental Affairs Committee at the State Capitol.  Audio obtained by a news organization in the room confirms this.   I was frustrated when, as I was trying to answer questions from committee members, people in the audience directly behind me were continuing to comment and talk loudly enough so that it was hard for me to concentrate and answer questions.  As a result, when my testimony was completed and I stood up, I said “you all need to shut up”, as those seated behind me had ignored admonitions by the Committee Chair.  I never used any profanity or derogatory term, as the news-recorded audio proves.  I did not know who the people sitting behind me were, but I have learned that some have involvement in political parties and should have known better than to falsely accuse me of things to make a political point.  I do appreciate that no matter how much we as senators disagree, or how much I disagree with any testimony or opinions expressed in public hearings, it is important to remember that transparency and public hearings are a critical part of our democracy.  However, the participants should respect decorum and not resort to falsehoods to further a political agenda.
