@ArveentPSM @partisosialis The problem with PSM is not the message, the problem with PSM is conveying the message. You have a communications issue and people do not resonate with you. Simple as that. Although I so hope for it to be otherwise

The Pahang Government just degazetted 85% of the Satak Forest Reserve last month. Only 164 hectares of the 1,072 hectares remain protected. With the threat of climate change & biodiversity loss, why are not protecting our forests even more? Read it here: yhlreporter.github.io/site/environme…

@Simple_Peasant1 God. I meant coalition-building with, say, urbanist/PT advocates that are ideologically unaligned with you to collectively push policies together, rather than on your own. PSM obviously has little traction on this. I did not mean electiral coalitions 🤦‍♂️ whatever. You lost me.

I find it funny that PH talks a good game about public transport but had around 4 years and did nothing to really reverse the trend of more cars and congestion. What have they been doing? That's all they have. Empty words. Can't believe folks fall for them still.

@Simple_Peasant1 It's clear that PSM does not have a clear stance on this, rather spurting out ideological catchphrases. I rather a left party that is unified and understands coalition-building, which requires you to admit lack of understanding and actually work with people

@Simple_Peasant1 Mr Simple Peasant, MOT has launched a novel initiative via Bas.my to provide vital bus networks to major cities, while MOF is phasing out oil subsidies This sounds like what ur advocating for sans the remote areas. What am i missing? x.com/natcromancer/s…
Nat-scape Nat-vigator 🇲🇾 🏳️‍⚧️@Natcromancer

The govt spends RM4 billion/month on fuel subsidy 1 month fuel subsidy = - 20 years Bas.My (RM202 million/year) - 69 years GoKL bus (RM57.8 million/year) - 89 years Smart Selangor Bus years (RM45 million/year) 13 years for ALL OF THEM (RM305.4 million/year) 🧵

@Simple_Peasant1 So, you're telling me, that if PSM were in power, PSM would maintain oil subsidies while investing in public transportation, including bus networks?

@nvmnothxx It's not inconsistency. I resent that. There are so many places in Malaysia where planning has failed. We do want buses. It would be cheaper. But you can't just take away the subsidy without providing an alternative first. I mean, how is that unreasonable?

@Simple_Peasant1 @iamgandipan 2. If you cannot convince someone like me, who is ideologically sympathetic to your party, to support you, then what makes you think you can convince the larger electorate who are antagonistic to you?

@Simple_Peasant1 @iamgandipan Who cares about PH! They've lost me and many others already. I'm looking at the only left-leaning party in the country who cant get their miniscule branches to move as a unit. Youre not winning any votes by hiding behind PH's flaws. We need some consistency here

@nvmnothxx @iamgandipan Can PH keep their party stance straight? They promised to abolish Sedition but turned around and kept it. They promised 5% of GDP spending on healthcare but we haven't even reached above 3% Are we supposed to shut up about the blatant hypocrisy just because it's PH?

@Simple_Peasant1 @iamgandipan Huh? Because I'm an urbanist and Ipoh is a major city with rail heritage? My gripe with your party is despite PT being in your manifesto, you have your Ipoh branch going on-ground with signs and demands for free parking. What's the point of the manifesto then?

@nvmnothxx @iamgandipan No. PSM manifestos consistently say build more public transportation. Not a single time in manifestos have they supported free parking like here. It's bad faith. The party isn't a hive mind. We disagree. But in the end, pro-PT wins out in the manifesto. Why hyperfocus on Ipoh?

LETS REACTIVATE MINIBUS 🚌 Today I took the LRT to NU Sentral and experienced firsthand the biggest frustration many Klang Valley commuters face daily: last-mile connectivity. From Seksyen 6 PJ to the nearest LRT: ❌ No direct feeder bus ❌ Rapid On-Demand waiting time: 58 mins

@PSMGombak @Simple_Peasant1 That doesnt even make sense. Do u mean to say u only advocate for good sidewalks (read: less car use) in cities w good public transport and those without, support populist car-centric policies? Ipoh is the capital city of Perak w a population close to PJ. Have some consistency

@nvmnothxx @Simple_Peasant1 Different branches deal with different socioeconomics. KL is not like Ipoh. As a rule, each branch tailors their policy accordingly. Ipoh barely has public transport. A consequence of decisions by BN and PH. They work with what is available.

If we had invested good sidewalks with trees to block the sun, and good public transport, Malaysia would have been more resilient in the face of the oil crisis. That is nothing to say about the savings of the working class from not having to own cars nor the health benefits
votebettersidewalks@bettersidewalk1

People walking along wide sidewalks, shaded by well-sized trees; not massive ones that cause hazards. Small shops on the sides, not another mall spilling onto walkway. Then it hit me: I shudn’t ask for better sidewalks. I shud ask for better politicians. 📍 Orchard Road, Spore

STATEMENT: Malaysia Loves Its Workers. Just Not Enough to Pay Them. Every Labour Day, the speeches come. The gratitude. The garlands. The minister at a podium somewhere, voice thick w feeling, praising the backbone of the nation. This year, the backbone got an additional gift. 1/

This is the ophtahalmologist clinic in HKL. A queue that is approximately 180 or so odd persons. Inside there isn’t even one seat. Horrendous and horrible beyond imagination. My first thought is how the hospital medical personal have to handle such an overwhelming overflow? 1
