Aaron Ford spent 420 days out of Nevada while in office and now says he has “absolutely no regrets.” Ford’s special interest-funded buddies may believe that’s acceptable. Nevadans don’t. Hardworking Nevadans don’t have the luxury of disappearing from work for over a year while getting paid by taxpayers. UFC president Dana White has asked longtime friend President Donald Trump to fix the provision in the 'Big Beautiful Bill Act' that limits gambling loss deductions to 90% of total losses, saying it's already hurting Nevada.
The Las Vegas local argues the new tax rule could push bettors toward underground operators, damage the UFC, and undercut Trump's own "No Tax On Tips" policy by reducing server tips.
In a letter to POTUS, White writes that the law means gamblers "could end up owing taxes even when you lose" and that "gamblers who win big, tip big, but now that this 90 percent limitation exists gamblers are likely to be less generous if they even gamble at all."
