Writing our quarterly LP update. Q1 was massive. Had a child. Made 4 new investments. Fund I had two growth stage mark-ups (1 Series B, 1 Series C) Fund II had a large Series A raise. Three companies headed to market in Q2. We are four years old as a firm this month. Firm building is really hard. Also very rewarding to see things slowly start to pay off. Still years before we know if we are truly top decile, but leaving it all on the field every day.

Model progress is no longer constrained by architecture, but by access to high-quality, human-generated data. Scraped internet data is finite, low-signal and increasingly synthetic. Kled AI pays real people to upload authentic, real world content task by task in their mobile app. We are super excited to back @avipat_ and @useKled as they build a massive data marketplace. The world needs more hardware. More satellites, medical devices, robots, etc. The electronic component supply chain is a mess and can't currently sustain the demand across categories. We are leading a $3M seed in Rama who is solving several supply chain challenges for distributors. More from me and the team:

@NWischoff I rented an apartment sight unseen (well, face time) because I had to move fast and tired of losing!

Moved to SF in Sept and have been house hunting for myself and office hunting on behalf of portcos. The average home I looked at in Q4 sold within 10 days and at or slightly above asking (100k). The same type/size of home listed in Q1 sells in 3 days, entirely all cash deals and some up to $1.7M over asking. Office space per sf in FiDi/Soma was barely $30 in Sept. Toured spaces today and the average was $79/sf with multiple offers up and down 2nd St. Doubt this is even close to the top. No better place to be for a builder right now but hold on tight.
