Our new preprint is out on @ChemRxiv 🔗 doi.org/10.26434/chemr… a redox-neutral [3+2] annulation of cyclopropanols with alkenes via an RPC cascade — a mechanistically distinct branch that spun out from our (enolized) homoenolate chemistry.

We are pleased to share on @ChemRxiv our unusual chiral molecules featuring the longest-ever atropisomeric axis—a carbon-iodine bond! go.shr.lc/4fLHZQc

Many nucleophiles work (ArOH, alcohols, anilines, sulfonamides, N-hets), but we have to add slowly to get useful yield. All at once gives only the "original" isomer and none of the "migrated." 🤮 The work was led by postdoc Yoshiya Sekiguchi and G2 Paul Onnuch - congratulations!

The next chapter of our metal catalysis work is now on @ChemRxiv. We report that an unusual reversible Pd "ring-walking" process can be used to access unconventional isomers of cross-coupling products! doi.org/10.26434/chemr…
