The first noticeable problem with our female public toilets is that women queue uncomfortably for a long time before they get in. As can be seen from a public toilet in Harare today, there is no queue at a male public toilet but there is a long queue at a female public toilet.

📣 We are incredibly humbled and grateful to share the news that Sanitary Aid Zimbabwe Trust has been honoured with the prestigious Outstanding Actor in Sexual and Reproductive Health Award at the 2023 We Act Zimbabwe Awards! 🏆 This recognition is a true testament to the collective efforts of our team, partners and supporters in championing menstrual health. Menstrual health, often overlooked within the broader context of sexual and reproductive health, is an issue close to our hearts. We firmly believe that every individual deserves access to dignified menstrual hygiene solutions and comprehensive education. It is our privilege to work towards breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation and promoting inclusivity. Receiving this award serves as a reminder that our work is making a positive impact in the lives of many. However, we acknowledge that there is still much more to be done. We remain committed to our mission of empowering individuals by providing them with the tools, resources and support they need to manage their menstrual health effectively. We extend our deepest gratitude to all those who have supported us on this journey. It is because of your unwavering dedication and belief in our cause that we have been able to reach this milestone. We are truly humbled by the trust and support we have received. This award is not just a recognition of our organization, but a celebration of the collective efforts of countless individuals working towards menstrual health advocacy. We stand alongside them in solidarity, united in our shared commitment to creating a world where menstrual health is acknowledged, respected and prioritized. As we reflect on this achievement, we are reminded of the challenges that still lie ahead. We remain steadfast in our resolve to break down barriers, challenge taboos and ensure that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, can access the resources they need for optimal menstrual health. Once again, we express our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of the We Act Zimbabwe Awards for this remarkable recognition and for conferring us with the Outstanding Actor in Sexual and Reproductive Health Award. We are honoured to be among the inspiring individuals and organizations who are making a difference in the field of sexual and reproductive health in general and menstrual health and hygiene management in particular. Together, let us continue to raise awareness, advocate for change and work towards a future where menstrual health is fully recognized, supported and celebrated. 🙏🩸 #Gratitude #MenstruationMatters #SRHAward #EndPeriodPoverty
