It looks like ADMK is breaking and Edapaddi Palaniswami's political career is coming to an end. Given the circumstances under which he became the Chief Minister, with many power centres to handle, his performance was significantly better than expected. If my memory serves me right, the four years he was the Chief Minister, he won India Today's best Chief Minister award for all the four years. Tamil Nadu got ranked as number one state in all those 4 years by the same methodology. During Covid, when the GDP of the country grew negatively, under Edapaddi the state GDP showed positive growth even under such circumstances. This is something he needs to be remembered for.

Why the whole world is blaming only @EPSTamilNadu for the defeat? As a leader of the party he has done everything right. - He has won with huge margins in his constituency. Remember the sitting CM had lost the election. - He did manage to form an alliance. - Did well in the seat sharing part - He personally visited 234 constituency visits which no other leader has done - Worked 24/7 for the last 12-15 months without taking any break Now what more do you expect from him? Times of India and other medias report that 36 MLAs out of the total 47 in ADMK are now under C Ve Shanmugam. They want to support Vijay's government. TOI says the party got split as Edapaddi Palaniswami was in talks with DMK on forming a government with their support. The vast majority of MLAs instead wanted to go with TVK. Since they have 36 MLAs out of 47, this group claims they are the real ADMK. Shanmugam is likely to become legislative party leader of ADMK and participate in TVK government. With 36 more numbers getting added, Vijay would have comfortable majority to run the government for next 5 years. The government's survival would not depend upon DMK allies who are now supporting TVK. The breakup of ADMK legislature party may lead to general council meeting and removing Edapaddi Palaniswami as the head of ADMK. The whole process is likely to happen in the coming weeks. Shanmugam is likely to have a press conference today to share the specifics. My view is before next elections, this group would merge with TVK. Looks like in the times to come, ADMK may cease to exist.

Even after 10 year anti incumbency you won 65 strong seats. During Covid you have excellent administration. Many people don't recognise that. Vegetables came to home. Amma unavagams functioned well. Other states struggled but we maintained oxygen supply and public communication well. You did not raise taxes or prices when there was no revenue. No burden on common man. Looting of river sand was banned. You silently bought industries without publicity. No drama with NEET. You silently bought 7.5 reservation scheme by which many doctors are created by you. Many more doctors will come, that seed was planted by you. You bought Athikadavu avinashi scheme. A scheme which farmers were fighting post independence under many CMs. Same people defeated you. They will not know what they lost now, but very soon. Many farm lands benefited due to many water irrigation and kudimaramathu did by you. Farm insurance and crop prices were properly given. I know for sure if you won you would have bought more farmer related schemes. Tamilnadu farmers missed out on you. Bought 11 medical colleges, expansions and many more urbanization projects. Dmk just with their eco system had lot of protest and you did not control media because you taught fair democracy and enough if you do the job. Last 4 years DMK just focused on Admk weak, admk party split blah blah, that was the biggest mistake they did, creating a mindset like third party needed. you fighted against all odds. Honestly not many of us predicted vijay wave. We all taught you did great job in bringing alliance and campaigned well. Some of us alerted many times IT wing needs to be more dynamic and strong, but I understand the respective people confused you with conflictive statements. You did hardwork campaigning throughout Tamilnadu. None predicted this wave. But sadly going forward instagram reels , posts, whatsapp messages , kids request what people will trust easily and more. Modern age. Generational change. Kalam matram. My family is not Admk members . I have not benefited from any of admk schemes. I do not even have an ADMk membership card with me. I was inspired by life stories of thalivar MGR and Jayalàlitha - amma - how both lost their father at young age, fighted against odds, never gave up and rose to top spot. You putted a great fight. The odds against you was very high from the day 1. You should be always with us sir. It is tough times. Very hard. Feeling very painful. But I won't abandon my party for anything. Just wondering. Vijay has 108 seats. ADMK's Edapaddi Palaniswami has 46 seats, excluding the one won by BJP. Vijay did not even call Edapaddi so far. Media sources say if Vijay has called, ADMK was willing to discuss about joining the government. With a total of 154 seats and only one ally to work with, things might have been relatively smooth. Vijay is popular among people. But his political inexperience is showing.

Tamil Nadu gov formation in deadlock. TVK is just 2 seats away for claiming 118, hope things to settled with VCK. Having said that TVK is already the single largest party, Governor should have called to form Government and do floor test, else TVK has to fight in Court.
