@iamfromnyc @MTA @NYCTSubway @nypost Hello this is the “President of MTA New York City Transit” My advice to you is to try hopping the turnstile next time. That way you won’t have any issues with your MTA MetroCard™️. Happy Travels 😁

Happened last week after the booth let me through the gate because my card had an issue, then this worker gave me a hard time and chased me down when I took out my phone. This is his 2nd attempt grabbing the phone, 1st encounter wasn't captured @MTA

@EngineerDustin They’re scared that poor people would use that infrastructure

One of the reasons we do what we do and why tactical urbanism works even when it seems to fail is that it proves people in government can work quickly when they want to.

Huge difference! Let's double the amount of space on the bridge for walking, cycling and other space-efficient, non-polluting modes. #MorespaceQBB

@ryanlawber @DearbornBikeLn Think putting up a sign, a few plastic delineators and a bit more green paint should do the trick.

@Union_Tpke Makes life easier for riders, as they don’t have to waste time buying a ticket, and it makes sure we aren’t letting go of those who work for the railroads. The MTA could also institute a similar program to the fare capping they have on subways and busses to incentivize its use.
English

@Union_Tpke The MTA should just install OMNY readers at every station. You tap your omny card or contactless at your origin station, a conductor comes around to check and see if you tapped in, and then you tap out when you get to your destination.

@editwritemike @jeffnovich @StreetsblogNYC I don’t think they would paint the street for a temporary event. Plus that’s way too narrow to handle the amount of riders in the 5B. Plus they always just close down streets for the 5B. This has to be something different
