We proudly support Saturday Night Lights, a citywide initiative that creates safe, engaging spaces for @NYCYouth through sports and mentorship. This week, our officers engaged the youth at America Scores NY High Bridge Park (PS 173), supporting soccer and giving out SNL shirts.

Today, Reverend Recabarren was standing with our 33 Pct police officers, giving thanks and praying for safety, wisdom, and unity. Moments like this remind us that community, faith, and respect can still bring us together. Thank you for stopping by Reverend! @NYPDPC @NYPD1stDep

This past weekend, we gathered to honor the lives of Detectives Wilbert Mora and Jason Rivera — two New York heroes whose loss is still felt deeply across this department and this city. Four years later, New Yorkers continue to carry their memory. We remember their courage, their commitment to this city, and the example they set for every officer who follows. Their legacy lives in the work that continues in their names and in the responsibility we carry forward. May their memories always be a blessing.

Four years ago tonight, our @NYPD32Pct brother, P.O. Jason Rivera, and his partner, P.O. Wilbert Mora, responded to a domestic dispute in Harlem. In that apartment, they were ambushed and fatally shot. Officer Rivera died that night doing exactly what he was meant to do: protecting and saving lives. Four years later, police officers across this city continue to honor and remember his ultimate sacrifice. #FidelisAdMortem

As Jews across New York City welcome the first night of Hanukkah, we want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday. The story of Hanukkah is an important reminder of the power of light over darkness, and that message is especially significant today. While there is currently no specific or credible threat to Hanukkah celebrations here, the NYPD will be out in full force at events and synagogues so that our communities can gather safely. As always, if you see something, say something. Call 888-NYC-SAFE
