Happy Occupational Therapist Appreciation Month! The UFT celebrates the role of OTs in our schools to help students build the skills they need to succeed in the classroom (and beyond).

This past weekend, NYSUT locals on Long Island joined public service workers to #FixTier6. As New York continues to work toward a state budget, we will continue our fight to ensure Tiers 5 and 6 members get the fair and dignified pension they deserve.

"I don't care if you wear a bullet proof vest or if swing a hammer for a living or if you have a piece of chalk in your hand, you are working class!" -Suffolk PBA President Lou Civello Law enforcement, first responders, construction workers, teachers and beyond gathered for one purpose.
