May God continue to bless Yorubaland, Yoruba civilisation, and Yoruba people. Most importantly, may God protect Yorubaland, its civilisation, and people.

Muscle memory & experience of riding a bike have so far been a reminder of rapid rebuild for me. I'm not close to the max I was & hoping to advance before, so I have a lot of miles to cover. But steadily and surely, back on track and ahead is the only way.

That Power is Power and it's rules based order. The International laws need enforcers and the enforcers are always THE BULLY, the one with the big stick. It's not that deep, it's game of hypocrisy, self interest, betrayal and self preservation.

I'm a Pro Faith Secularist, although I'm a Catholic, my status is Nominal. Yorùbá citizens or people should be at liberty to choose their faiths/religion, however, in the case where such religious ideology poses threat to our Sociopolitical stability and security e.g Jihadism

They both pose serious existential threats to our Sociopolitical stability and security as well as total well-being as a nation. I've observed a lot of Atheists/Agnostics, some Christians and "Isese Adherents or Yorùbá religion sympathetisers" in this category.

Hard-line Anti-Faith/Anti-Religion Yorùbá Ronu is self sabotaging... He's as dangerous to Yorùbá Nationalism anchored on peaceful coexistence, Secularism and Religious Freedom and liberty to have faiths or not, choose any.... As Religious extremism/Islamists or totalitarian.

Today, March 6, we remember and celebrate the birth of one of Nigeria’s greatest visionaries, Obafemi Awolowo, born on March 6, 1909. Chief Awolowo was not just a political leader, he was a builder of people and a champion of human development. At a time when education was a privilege for the few, he boldly introduced free primary education in the Western Region in 1955 which includes Abeokuta, Benin, Most part of Lagos, Delta, Ibadan, Ijebu, Ondo, and Oyo., opening the doors of learning to countless children and laying the foundation for a more enlightened society. His compassion for the welfare of the people also led to free healthcare for children and the expansion of hospitals and rural health services. Awolowo believed that a nation could only truly progress when its people were both educated and healthy. Under his leadership, the Western Region experienced remarkable development, symbolized by projects such as the iconic Cocoa House and the launch of Western Nigeria Television, the first television station in Africa. On this day, his birthday, we celebrate not only the life he lived but the vision he gave to generations. His ideas about education, social welfare, and disciplined leadership continue to inspire Nigeria and Africa. On this day, March 6, we honour Chief Obafemi Awolowo, a man who believed that the greatest wealth of a nation is the knowledge and well-being of its people. His legacy lives on in every educated child, every improved life, and every dream made possible through opportunity.

You're right 😀. For those who'd love to know more: In-law is "Àna" in Yorùbá. In Yorùbáland, while it àna may refer to one's spouse's family members, this term also capture their entire ẹ́bí and ìbátan (The entire extended family and relatives). So: 👇
Dorcas B.O 🩷@Dorcas_BO

@kolaayanwuyi The same way there is no word for sister/brother-in-law. Iya Oko, baba Oko. Lol!

@Sci_in_Yoruba Likewise, we should also be able to document any new creation through a committee and with official records of entry, so that we do not confuse the works of the ancestors with those of modernity.

Yesterday was World Book Day. Many parents were struggling to dress their kids up as characters from books, even though I’ve been giving them a steady supply of easy costumes. Anyway, I saw this yesterday on IG and it made me super happy. 😍😍😍

If you believe Awolowo was indeed a Socialist: See his Ideology on Economy and Government. These are from his own Autobiography, in his own words. ----- I have some follow-up on Western Nigeria Development Corporation, see the list of few of the Private Investments attracted 👇

When one traces one's family lineage up about 5th/6th generations, one would realise they're related to Oduduwa, Orunmila, Obatala, Oranfe & etc. You realise this by your family name, village/town, or any branch of ancestors. I've learnt a lot about myself since 2025.
