Also, the lady who did the damage can't speak German so the poor old lady was doing her best to speak to them in English. And the entire time the trashy lady is screaming that the police will be on her side...uh...

The trashy people who were driving a remote-controlled car around at 11:30 PM last night are now picking a fight with a VERY old lady outside because they illegally parked and it damaged the old woman's car. What kind of place did we move into? 😂😭

There's something very funny about them sitting around waiting for the police while middle-aged German men occasionally go by on their rented electric scooter.

I like our new apartment more than our old one, for the most part, but I feel like we should have seen the “playgrounds between every building” as the foreshadowing it clearly was. We can’t have windows open while working, because of the constant shrieking of children. 😭

For the most part, my fyp on TikTok is solid, but it insists on showing me, "smug Western European with a superiority complex commenting on a video of young Americans who are abroad for the first time" videos, no matter how often I hit "not interested".

@jenrazzle @MattEvans Vöslauer has water that's just like La Croix and there's another brand that's even better, but I cannot remember the name right now. And if you just want sugar-free, there's always Deit. Other than the clear lemon flavor, which tastes like cleaner, they're pretty decent.

Saw an ad for sugar free Almdudler when we were in Munich last week and picked some up at Rewe for lake day yesterday. Everyone loved it, definitely found a new fridge staple.

The location is also right next to where the local, unemployed day drinkers like to hang out, so I’m interested to see how long this restaurant lasts.

@Lynn_Nothegger I’ve never been searched in Germany. Sometimes they ask me to lift my bag, but never to shake it and they’ve never looked in my backpack, either. I guess I’ve just been lucky, based on the other replies.

@MCinHD In most videos, it’s literally just Abendbrot or a charcuterie board with a couple extra random things. But it’s mostly Americans posting the videos so the bread looks awful 😂

Every time I see the “girl dinner” videos on TikTok all I think is, “that’s just Abendbrot”.

@BombayTalkies Good to know. One website I found said it’s being used as a counter-protest flag against the thin blue line flag / to protest police brutality. But it was the only website I found saying that and it seemed like a clickbait type site.

Is the American flag in black-and-white a symbol used by the far right? There’s a student with it as a patch on his backpack at my university (in Germany), and I’m not getting clear answers from googling.

@efoolution I saw that as well, which is what increased my suspicions. But the website name is making me wonder about the accuracy. Another site said it’s a protest flag against the thin blue line flags, but it also seemed like a questionable site.
