I realize this happens to varying degrees everywhere, but saying it out loud is kinda wild. This will 100% be used to negatively recruit against Texas.

NEW: Steve Sarkisian says Texas had to let players go to create "cap space"💰 “To make the moves we make, to bring in a Cam Coleman, to bring in a Hollywood Smothers, to bring in a Raleek Brown, to bring in a Mike Masunas at tight end; we had to let DeAndre Moore go. We had to let Parker Livingstone go. We had to let Tre Wisner go. We had to let CJ Baxter go. ...we had to let some pretty good players leave to create the cap space to bring those guys in. I think strategically, there were some tough decisions to make. But, we made them. I think we all can agree that we’re probably better around Arch today than we were a year ago at this time.” (via @finebaum) on3.com/news/steve-sar…

How to kill your HS recruiting in 50 words or less.

@BudElliott3 Saying it pulpit is way different than what happens inside the org. Sark made a huge HS recruiting blunder by saying what he said publically. Deflection it all you want, but it was a mistake.

I’d encourage high school recruits to read every last word of this quote! Sark is telling you in plain language that he has no loyalty to you Wisner committed to UT and then rushed for nearly 2K yards in 3 seasons. He was then “let go” by Sark. That’s just cold and also tells you that they don’t develop high school recruits if they’re having to let their homegrown talent “go” in order to replace it with transfers
