@LeftistTexanist @UT4x_champs Baxter would've been allowed to return but would've had to take a severe paycut as he's probably been one of the most overpaid players in the country the last two years.

@UT4x_champs I highly doubt Baxter was asked to return. Moore and Livingstone were probably told "stick around if you want to be the #4," knowing that they're probably better than that on any other team.

Let’s be clear, Wisner and Baxter and Moore and Livingstone were all wanted back in Austin. Their agents just thought they were all worth more. Sark didn’t purposefully “cut” any of them. That would be easily explained to any recruit. Only an Aggy would have this interpretation.
Robert Behrens@rcb05

I realize this happens to varying degrees everywhere, but saying it out loud is kinda wild. This will 100% be used to negatively recruit against Texas.

@Tex2WestSeattle @UT4x_champs People are all enraged about using NFL terms like "cut" and "cap" instead of some happy little thesaurus. I think the WR situation was handled in a way that said we're trying to win this year. If that bites us with recruits, guess we'll head straight back to the portal.

@jacobs_and12334 @HuntForLifts @UT4x_champs Texas didn't think those guys & their production were worth a raise so they let them go get money elsewhere. The NE Patriots got to a point they didn't think Tom Brady was worth the money so they let him go. They didn't cut him. Sark never used the word "cut". Keep trying though

@HuntForLifts @UT4x_champs The point is that it’s unlikely their agents asked for more than their worth. Also, Cam Coleman is absolutely not the same price. Logic says Texas cut their tenured players. Sark says so too. Yet, Texas fans claim it’s not true.

@CoachBiggsCFB @CFBchamp Derek Williams will start over Filsaime. Do you really think Lance Jackson is that bad? A lot folks in Austin think the former 5 star will break out in a major way this season.

@CFBchamp For a national championship contender that is 2 very low rated starters. I think the answer to your pass rush concerns are Will Muschamp and Rasheem Biles. The Biles get in the portal isn’t talked about enough

Recently released my season preview of Texas. Here's how I evaluated the production of this roster in 2025 and what I project the value of the players to be in 2026. Want to see every team's roster? Every FBS team's depth chart is in the link in my bio.

@RBaiter7 @Run_Away_Riley @UTFootballEdits Jackson Arnold was healthy in 2024...they just benched him in favor of Michael Hawkins but because they went back to Arnold later in the year they like to act like Arnold was unavailable and Texas only beat them because they were playing a backup.

@dbyers99 @gkketch Only thing that makes it tougher is you have to play Texas and Texas can't play themselves. You get Kentucky, Mississippi St & Vandy without Pavia.

@gkketch Check out Oklahoma’s — tougher than UT’s for the 3rd year in a row. SEC has prioritized propping up UT’s success over OU’s but it still hasn't worked!

UT's SEC schedule based on the predicted order by the media. Jesus. vs. No.3 Ole Miss at No.4 Texas A&M at No.5 LSU vs. No.7 Oklahoma at No.8 Tennessee vs. No.9 Florida at No.10 Missouri vs. No.15 Mississippi State vs. No.16 Arkansas

@JJTittle10 @gkketch Nobody is worried about Bama. Nick Saban isn't walking through that door. And Texas has played Georgia more in the last two years than A&M & OU combined and A&M has been in the same conference with them for the last 14 years.

Disagree Basically every kid Texas signs has an agent. They know the deal. They know everyone does this. This will not hurt Sark
tryharderplease@tryhrdrpls

@BudElliott3 Saying it pulpit is way different than what happens inside the org. Sark made a huge HS recruiting blunder by saying what he said publically. Deflection it all you want, but it was a mistake.

@ccwarcat @AllenJBTx @cdpcory @365Aggie DeAndre Moore was never the #2 WR in the nation & Baxter was rated on one site as the #1 RB in the country before he completely wrecked his knee & UT still paid him like that #1 RB even though he hadn't produced like one. He either needed to take a pay cut or find somewhere else

@AllenJBTx @cdpcory @365Aggie Per a quick Google search… Moore was the #2 ranked wr in the nation coming out of HS, Baxter was the #1 rb in the nation coming out of HS too. Apparently TU can’t or won’t develop. Instead they’ll “let you go” to “create cap space”. Let it be known far and wide. Black ball.

@worxerrtime @flatland_sports Actually, he never left campus as he's been pursuing his MBA so he is and has been enrolled at Texas this entire time. He's trying to get a 5th year the same way the guys in the class before him got and every class after him will get. The NCAA had to know this would be coming.

@flatland_sports Yeah, pretty much. But the associating it with Texas is weak. He isn't on campus, enrolled, on roster, no NIL money and no helpers to his cause from the program. We handled his departure by the book. Now, we are saying if his challenge is upheld, we can then re-affiliate.

For those of you who aren't following, this is like if a guy who graduated from High School and spent a spring on D1 football camp and then got permission to go back to High School and play another season.

Former Texas OL Cole Hutson has filed an age-based eligibility lawsuit against the NCAA, requesting a judge to grant an injunction to play the 2026-27 college football season. He played in 48 games with 23 starts at Texas. Suit was filed Friday. on3.com/news/former-te…

@Bevo374 @WaterlooVoodoo @secnumbersguy He doesn't get it but that's because he doesn't want to and that's okay. Bringing up what LSU/Texas have done since 2000 is exactly what I was talking about but it let's me know I shouldn't waste another second arguing with someone who won't get it anyway.

@WaterlooVoodoo @oaje2003 @secnumbersguy You really don’t get it do you? 🤣🤣🤣. In order to be a blueblood you had to be highly successful in a certain era. LSU could have 20 natties this century and they still wouldn’t be a blue blood.
