At #COP30 in Belém, the LDC Group formally congratulated Ethiopia, honoring it as the first LDC country to host a COP. H.E. Dr. @FitsumAdela is leading Ethiopia’s delegation with strong engagement in negotiations and climate diplomacy. H.E @FitsumAdela also held high-level discussions with officials from Türkiye and Australia both bidding for COP31 as Ethiopia begins its early preparations for hosting COP32 and strengthening global climate cooperation.

At the Africa Climate, Peace & Security Capacity Building Workshop, UNOAU, @AU_DARBE, @CairoPeaceKeep, @SwissAddisAbaba, @UNDPAfrica, & @Arexximbank stressed AU leadership & support for Member States to access #ClimateFinance to address climate–security risks in #Africa.
