Who doesn't love a warm, calming sunset? I was late as usual and frantically fighting my equipment as usual, when the setting sun illuminated the underside of the clouds, and the sky exploded with color.
I decided to calm down for a few minutes and instead just watch the show. This shot was about 20min later, and while doesn't quite have as much color as its peak, I'm glad I took that little break and got to soak it in.

As the sun’s light penetrated the wings of a black jacobin, its feathers became ‘filled with rainbows’. Christian Spencer used the high clouds as a secondary filter to reveal this effect, otherwise invisible to the naked eye.
