@unionvol24 Let the anthems of the participating nations play, that's an old soccer tradition. Other than that, as much as they've complained over the hydration breaks, which make complete sense in our humid Southern climate, should we not do them and let them complain about the heat stroke?

Hi everyone ,I wanted to let you all know that I am having brain surgery this Tuesday. I have a large tumor on my pituitary gland that is invading my sinuses. The neurosurgeon will be removing the tumor, and the ENT will be repairing the hole in my sinuses. The surgery will be done at Hackensack Hospital in New Jersey, and I’ll be staying there for a few days afterward to recover. If you are so inclined, please pray for me. Mariam Yahia Ibrahim, a Sudanese Christian and medical doctor, was sentenced to 100 lashes and death by hanging after refusing to renounce her Christian faith. Because Sudan considered her Muslim through her absent father, the court convicted her of apostasy despite her lifelong confession of Christ. According to them, she could not be a Christian, married to a Christian, in this Muslim majority country. She was given three days to recant. She refused. At the time (in 2014), Meriam was eight months pregnant and already caring for her young son in prison. She spent months chained to a prison floor with her 1-year-old son by her side. While shackled, she gave birth to her daughter, Maya, inside the prison. Her execution was delayed because of the pregnancy, but she remained imprisoned until an international outcry led an appeals court to overturn her conviction and order her release. Looking back on her ordeal, Meriam said she was not afraid. "Being in prison strengthened my faith even more," she told CBN News.

@John_Barach @KenShepherd I have no doubt that she was a Unitarian. Unitarianism was ubiquitous at the time of the founding. It also wasn't uncommon for unitarians to marry non-unitarians. Or for someone who wasn't a Unitarian to become one at the time.

I can't remember the last time I received mail in South Africa. At least 10 or more years ago.
Please praise the mail man. Please appreciate USPS. You don't know what you have till it's gone. Be thankful these services are running seemlessly and that you never even have to think about it. Use instead this opportunity to be thankful and give the mail man/woman something cold to drink if you see them and tell them you are proud of them, and thank them for their service.

@MickeyDangerez @walkinghispath I didn't think it would be. Do not buy a car that's too old. It may not be sold to you as a dud, because it might not be. But older cars develop problems just because they're older. The older a car is, the more there is to wear out. Get the best deal on as new as you can.

@AVL8ton @alloyeble Well there's nothing you can do about the price friend. I don't think it's going to matter in the future where you have the World Cup, attending one is an undertaking unless you live there. The Olympic Games are much the same.

@RiicoBandzz People often forget generally speaking just how few countries have actually won the World Cup. Very few countries even win it. Making it to the world cup and actually making it to the elimination rounds is quite a feat.

European idealism is grim. Do you know how hard it is for a non European side to get to world cup final? Once messi retires world cup will rotate between France and Spain fr years. Long gone are days teams like Brazil, Uruguay were real contenders. Argentina will join that group.

@walkinghispath @MickeyDangerez Well as one who went my entire life with used vehicles until I finally bought a new one, I have to disagree. Having to do maintenance and pay the expenses for it every other week gets old. I'd gladly trade that for a good new car.
