I challenge any king in the southwest to put this on their car. The only one who can be called an Emperor in Yoruba-land is the Alaafin of Oyo; the rest are merely lower kings, chiefs, dukes, and native doctors like the Ooni of Ife.

The hypocrisy is loud: Ibadan freely celebrates its warlords & military glory. Egbaland proudly holds Lisabi Festival, honoring revolt against Oyo Empire — and nobody complains. But when Oyo people speak about their powerful ancient Empire with pride? They call it arrogance,

Our weekly Yoruba Ronu program has now been changed to Yoruba Nationalism Series. Please do not tag me to any Yoruba Ronu group or Yoruba conservative community going forward. What we built for years with our mind, brain, sweats and Olodumare has been turned into a cesspit of Gigs, money sharing, religious extremism and reactionary acrobatics. 2023 elections is gone and everything we did was for Yorubaland. Now it is time to continue building Yoruba renaissance in a proper and organised way as we have done. I am not a Yoruba conservative, I am not Ronu, I am a Nationalist. Yoruba renaissance has been happening for the past 30 years but was always sabotaged by reactionary elements who see it as a form ladder to power and influence. This time around, we will defend what we built with our lives and soul by dissociating from any online and offline group who think this is another populist movement for money and social media influencing. To those who wish to characterise themselves as Ronu or conservative, we wish them all the best but TYF as an institution from today as no business with such appellations. To the lovers of TYF and the Yoruba people, please do not be confused, we have to make this distinction so that we will not be swallowed into this cesspit of reactionary politics and political opportunism masked as activism. We are grateful for your help and support always. May Olodumare continue to be with us all.
