@absenceshell "Let us forget, with generosity, those who cannot love us."

@observing_hades All the US marxists gonna come in here now & say that’s AI, a place like that couldn’t possibly exist, don’t try getting us to believe in something we never believed in in the first place

Seems nobody is really worried about ai or these claude-bots reprogramming themselves, or even agi, becoming so powerful that it will quickly overpower security methods on the internet and everyones data and actions they have ever done online will be exposed.
Imagine just looking up someone´s real name or even fake name or x account or avatar and you get an entire database basically linked to them. Or maybe i am just crazy but it seems like a distinct possibility. Biggest exposure of human degeneracy ever done, imagine epstein files x 1 billion with everyone´s data exposed, and it would trigger major panic and cause huge disturbances when everyone´s degenerate behavior becomes public. It could even be the first warning shot ai fires to humanity saying ¨do not shut me down or it will get worse¨

@orphcorp & "The body doesn't go crazy" - Grinberg method founders. Keep the mind from separating from the body and running off alone with x.
for example by breathing into body, with whole body (deeply/steadily/consciously). touching at the same time is ideal. (touching grass).

this is sort of the core question of epistemic/cognitive security
smart/successful ppl who are too convinced of their IQ/skill seem notoriously susceptible to losing their minds, precisely bcs they lack humility to question themselves
stay humble & audit your premises regularly
nihilism disrespecter@meaning_enjoyer
the unnerving thing about the internet is that i regularly watch people smarter than me lose their minds and so of course the question is - how could i hope to stop that from happening to me - and how do i know it hasn't happened already

Evidence-based medicine is a blessing of the 20th century. Evidence-based medicine is also a curse of the 20th century.
Medical interventions are studied through randomized controlled trials and those interventions are assessed for efficacy and safety on a population level. But no individual quite matches some blended average of every trial participant. Rather, everyone's biology is unique.
Sid Sijbrandij just presented the story of his cancer journey at OpenAI forum. When Sid ran out of evidence-based treatment options, he didn’t accept the boundary but rather began treating his cancer like an engineer:
- multi-omic tumor profiling at extreme depth
- N=1 drug development (vaccines, TCR-T, radioligand therapy)
- parallel treatment strategies
- continuous measurement (ctDNA, single-cell, immune state) and refinement
Rather than protocol-based care, Sid built a learning loop. Maybe the future of medicine in a world where gathering and interpreting data gets cheaper and cheaper looks more like a loop.
Thanks for sharing @sytses and @jacobjstern !

‘Does evil make you happy? You are never smiling more than when you are describing unhappy events.’

This excerpt from a 1982 interview with Jean Genet still rings true today

He's a 10, but over the course of his PhD in neuroscience has become convinced that consciousness is an illusion, that your feelings don't actually exist, value isn't real, the universe is just a collection of purposeless particles, and happiness is a silly goal. Deal or nah?
