@obutler MLB pitchers tend to rely more on swing and miss stuff and forcing strikeouts. As a result of the 2020s dead ball, NPB pitchers have tended focus more on weak contact and getting up in the count before they try and get whiffs.

Munetaka Murakami in his MLB Debut 1-2, 1 HR, 1 R, 1 RBI, 2 BB, 0 K Not bad at all. The walk rate seems to be carrying over at least. It helps that MLB pitchers don't pound the zone nearly as much as NPB pitchers.
