As part of the @ocmdao Community Incentive Program, @RabbiGains and I thought it would be fitting to also reward people with a unique Ordinal as proof of achievement, so we created a recursive trophy for each month. To create high quality work on Bitcoin takes time, skill, and resources. We've paid miners over 10 BTC in transaction fees to create @OnChainMonkey assets. The same assests that innovated on efficient use of block space with Recursive inscriptions for Generative art on Bitcoin.🤯

Today is the 1 year anniversary of the evolution of an immutable inscription on Bitcoin. The OCM Dimensions inscriptions were inscribed on June 12th, and minted on the 15th, but they were still unrevealed to the holders! The inscriptions are immutable, so it was a contradiction that they could evolve. We used a property of Bitcoin called a presigned transaction to make the evolution possible. This is the technique later used by @quantumcats and @sanjfomojis to evolve their inscriptions too. The transaction below is the one that evolved OCM Dimensions. If you go to an OCM Dimensions inscription, you can see the transaction referenced in the art that was inscribed a few days earlier! There are several new techniques as part of the art of Dimensions, such as recursion, parent-child provenance, sequential matching sats, and the use of code libraries for creating the generative art. Happy 1 year anniversary! 🎉

A little known fact is that all the renderings for OCM Dimensions, the 3D statues of OCM Genesis, were already inscribed on Bitcoin by February 2023! We purposely hid them as the Ordinals protocol was not ready yet to support many key techniques (Recursion, Parent-Child Provenance, code libraries). Future Bitcoin archeologists searching through the early inscriptions will find them all on-chain on Bitcoin.
