The second incident was reported in Mandi where we found 1 body and 9 people missing... The third incident was reported in Shimla where 1 person died and 36 people are missing... Our teams of SDRF, NDRF and police have been deployed in the region. Our team is carrying out relief and rescue operations... We have issued an alert of heavy rain till tomorrow morning (August 2). But we will issue more alerts as per the data of IMD... "

#WATCH | Principal Secretary of Disaster Management Authority, Onkar Sharma on the calamity-struck Himachal Pradesh, says "Since the onset of monsoon 367 people have died and 40 people are missing. A loss of over Rs 8500 Cr. faced by the state and it is estimated it will go to Rs 10,000 Cr. Over 12000 houses have been damaged till now. I appeal to the people of the state to pay attention to the geology, hill slopes, building by-laws and building code before constructing a house."

#WATCH | Onkar Chand Sharma, Principal Secretary, Disaster Management, Himachal Pradesh government on losses due to heavy rainfall in the state " 71 deaths reported in three days from 13th to 15th August. Losses suffered amount to around Rs 7500 crores, it is expected to rise. In last three days, 2,500 people re-located to safe places in the state."
