Norway welcomes the peace and economic agreement between DR Congo and Rwanda, that was signed yesterday at the White House. We acknowledge the facilitating role played by the USA and Qatar and fully support all efforts for a more peaceful eastern Congo.

In March 2026 the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will move from Victoria Terrasse to the new government building complex (Regjeringskvartalet) further east in Oslo. Artworks form an important part of the building project.

The people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo have endured violence & suffering for 3 decades. The fighting must stop & peace agreements need to be implemented without delay. The @UN will continue to support efforts to build a peaceful future for the DRC & the region.
