Listen I get overboard and how I am because I know the #Jets take into account public opinion on picks. I want it clear, for us, with where we're at, Arvell Reese is a TERRIBLE pick. Not a terrible player. Actually think he can be an awesome LB.
intelligent l.ife@JackiesOnlySon

@FrankieVitz I get you like Bailey but it’s getting weird man. You keep comparing them to NFL players instead of just talking about what they both actually do. You make Bailey sound like Myles JJ Garrett-Watt & Reese like Vernon Gholston. C’mon bruh

The Jets should franchise tag Breece Hall as @FrankieVitz laid out, the options in the Draft and Free Agency aren't better than Hall. Gang's All Here with @RyanMSampson & @UStadium put together a 3-part plan on 'How To Fix The Jets'.

@PaulFiore I don’t watch enough to know the difference between all of their chances (although GMs never seem to know either) but yeah we need to leave the draft with at least one shot at it

@odonogd2 I guess if I thought he would be the guy, I would agree. But Simpson in rd 1 vs Allar or Nussmeier later doesnt work for me. Id draft one of them later instead.

This theory, if he sux, who cares, just draft another guy in 2027 is INSANE. You do that with 2nd rd picks. Like NO did with Shough. Not pick 16 where you can get an impact player, like a desperately needed WR, for example, with 5 years of team control. This is not hard. #Jets

@greggrosenthal Terrible tweet this. Beane totally caught between a rock and a hard place here. We don’t know what went on in that draft room or since then so that’s totally speculative Greg

this is going to stick to Beane like that radio interview. it's one thing to make a bad pick. it's another to manipulate your boss to make yourself look better and have it so public, which is the clear implication here
Henry McKenna@henrycmckenna

Brandon Beane fielded a question about not getting enough help at WR, including drafting Keon Coleman. Terry Pegula: "Can I interrupt? ... The coaching staff pushed to draft Keon. ... That was Brandon being a team player."

That is a horrendous tackle from Diogo Dalot. Could've been an idiotic moment, another day that is a red card. x.com/Trend584561/st…

@ConnorJRogers Id absolutely go WR .. possibly at 2 & 16 😂 However .. are we not massively concerned about his knee injury? That was as gruesome as it gets - and at number 2 😭

A lot of the chatter around what #Jets do with the no. 2 pick will understandably focus on the high end, defensive talent in this draft But if they are looking to load up on offense for whoever the future QB is, there is a serious argument to pair Jordyn Tyson with Garrett Wilson

@uSTADIUM I think this is ultimately a good thing just because a #2 pick gets forced for 3 years irrespective of how they play. We need to take a 2nd round swing that we can move on from without heat next year if nothing is shown. I’m taking a pure pass rusher at 2 or the tackle.

@Jason_OTC What’re your thoughts Jason on him doing all he can to make sure he gets a second contract? If I’m him I still declare as it’s 55M and surely you back yourself to succeed? However, the real money is the second contract and so I respect his decision - jets fan here

The idea that Dante Moore is a lock to be top 5 in the draft next year is not based in any reality. Hopefully he does well but what a risky decision.

This talking point is becoming annoying. Even if #Jets lost to Atlanta, Vegas would still have the #1 pick due to SOS tiebreakers. So people can dunk on fans who were happy with the win all they want, but #Jets beating Atlanta did not rob them of the chance to pick Mendoza.
Optimistic Jets@OptimisticJets

What some #Jets fans thought the culture was going to be like after winning a meaningless game against the Falcons and missing out on Mendoza

@JakeAsman I thought it was like watching Zach Wilson again tbh only with higher highs. I’d be equally concerned with Williams as I am impressed. And there’s no inbetween, his performance was wild

So impressed by Caleb Williams tonight. What a performance in the clutch. Truly amazing how quickly things can change for a bad franchise if they get the coaching hire right.

I am reading so many ppl talking about this class of QBs and telling everyone who could declare to declare bc the class isn’t great… that’s advice based on simply being possibly picked higher!!! But if they want to be great in the NFL, the advice should be “DECLARE WHEN YOU ARE READY TO COMPETE IN THE NFL”!! At the end of the day who cares where you are picked & how much is in 1st contract (especially with college $$), the goal should be to get that 2nd contract & that comes by balling out when you get to the NFL bc you are fully prepared & ready, not just getting there!

@geoffschwartz Schwartz is saying go back for seasoning .. not to avoid the jets. Why’s everyone getting on his back? He’s literally saying if Moore avoids the jets this year that doesn’t guarantee he won’t land with them next year 😂

I just want to add to the “should Dante Moore return to school to avoid the Jets” The Jets could very well have a top 3 pick again next season. That’s not the best reason to return to school. Moore could use another year of seasoning in college and that seems like a universal opinion. One year starters struggle in the NFL. With NIL and insurance + track record of Herbert and Nix returning for another season… those are the selling points.
