@taylorotwell I want LTS on my OS more than my app code. Very rarely do I need the new features released with CentOS/Ubuntu, but quite often I want the new features/fixes in the app space.

When discussing "LTS" in regards to PHP framework - is every single Composer package your code relies on *also* LTS? If not, is your application *actually* receiving LTS like you think it is?

Did you know that in PHP 7.4, the numeric literal separator was added? This means you can separate numbers with an underscore. These two numbers are equal, but the second is much easier to parse. wiki.php.net/rfc/numeric_li…

Using Swoole table, Octane cache driver can do 2 million reads / writes per second - and, since Swoole essentially gives PHP "setInterval" functionality, even exposes a wild new "interval" method on the cache that refreshes every N seconds. 🏄‍♂️ 🔥
