VPS + tmux is the right move for persistent agents. one layer worth adding — mosh protocol for the phone-to-VPS connection. standard SSH drops every time your phone sleeps or switches networks, so you end up reconnecting and reattaching to tmux constantly. mosh keeps the transport alive through all of it. been using Moshi for this on iOS, way less friction
