They lose to Detroit with Garland. I’m pretty comfortable with that. Harden saved them as that series progressed. You can still question the process on the trade but I do think it ultimately made this year’s team better. Just not better enough.

I don’t think the Cavs traded for James Harden with any great illusions about who he is in the playoffs. I think the Cavs traded for James Harden because Donovan Mitchell wanted them to and deep down, they were afraid of extending Darius Garland.
