I think something that really bothers me about this merch stuff coming right off of a "pilot" is that it just cements that Glitch isn't any different than any other mainstream animation studio.

@AlienXotic in all honesty there is a plague of communities that use images to say 1000 words, both are caricatures. One will be co-opted by racists, but if a discussion is to be had about issues within marginalized communities these images are shortcuts that halt any kind of discussion

these are both very real though. there are plenty of anti-trans/anti-gay black people who hide behind their race to avoid accountability and addressing that is just as important as addressing the reverse
