Well that was a joy to watch. Can’t ask for more from a game of football. A great way to end the tournament.

In a week of significant disappointments, I’m pleased to say that The Odyssey didn’t add to the list. Simply excellent. Go see it.

We just don’t have the mentality to win these games. As soon as there’s something big on the line the managers and the players can’t handle it. A cowardly performance after we deservedly took the lead. Fucking awful.

Whilst I can’t quite shake the feeling that Methven has an axe to grind concerning ownership of Oxford United, his logical breakdown of our situation is terrifying stuff. The owners must explain themselves and the plan and quickly.

The conditions under which Oxford Mail reporters work are, I’m sure, awful. It must be difficult to navigate the balance between good journalism and the pressure to produce clicks. That balance is no longer on show and the incumbent sports reporter should look for another role.
