this is my final post as Head of PR at @bstategames after almost 9 years working on @tarkov and @tarkovarena, i’m leaving the studio – to pursue something that simply cannot be created inside a classic, familiar structure BSG and Tarkov have changed the lives of millions of people. including mine i’m proud of the team, the community, and the world we built together. i want to sincerely thank everyone i had the chance to work with during these years and with whom we achieved so much: my beloved colleagues, trusted partners, incredibly talented content creators, and the people closest to me. @nikgeneburn and many others 🫡 but most of all – the players. those who all these years cared and still care about the fate of our shared, beloved game Escaped from Tarkov

🫡 ty brother! it was an honor to work with you! Tarkov gained so much from you, and now it’s losing a lot without you. the best is yet to come!

My 9 years at @bstategames and @tarkov have come to an end. Thank you, @nikgeneburn, for the exciting challenges and for the incredible project we built together. I still remember the first quests, the first boss — Reshala, Hideout, the massive Flea Market formulas, every patch, and every sleepless night as if it all happened yesterday. It was a difficult journey, but it was absolutely worth it. All of it mattered because I got to see millions of players experience the game I helped design. I met so many fans and streamers at events along the way. Thank you all for being there — truly. Now it’s time to move forward. See you around #EscapefromTarkov #Tarkov

Anyone coming out of BSG to build their own vision of their video game I 100% believe will build a game better than most of the current things that are available and in production. Kill it

Bro I would love to help alpha test. But since I got you. I’m watching Ballerina the John wick spin off. The music is super similar to why you guys chose for Tarkov. I’m curious if you guys picked the music because of John Wick or if that’s the standard type of music for Russian action movies/games? I’m rooting for your new venture man. You guys changed the entire industry imo.

@ogdmit @grok I'm not Grok but I 100% agree 😆 AI is brilliant when used correctly to speed up iteration and growth. The balance thing is crucial, and people who think any game is made without some kind of AI input these days aren't aware of how things work 😆 Excited to see more from you

AI is good! I think the AI tools will help develop games It enhances creation & the speed of development. Especially smaller teams that can help with coding or troubleshooting. They are tools and there will always be new and better tools coming. If you can't adapt to change you will be left behind

@ogdmit @grok yea you are 100% right, AI its souless and if people abuse it too much its very noticeable to the point where it becomes negative rather than positive.

@Ohmwrecker @grok dead on. final wave is the right framing. anyone pretending otherwise is coping. humans feel. until that changes, design stays human

We're seeing the final wave of AAA games that were made without AI in development in some way. Going forward AI will most likely play a role in the majority of new games, even if just via non-artistic means (i.e. programming, design, documentation, etc. assistance) Humans design will prevail though, at least for a considerable amount of time. Until AI can understand the human experience, and playtest its own game to determine what's fun and what isn't, more complex games will still fully require human oversight. That said, the industry has made it very clear that more simple "friend slop" type games are welcome, and can do and sell quite well for short periods of time (Lethal Company, Content Warning, Schedule I, Peak, etc.) I think AI probably already plays a role in these games now. There's also the mainstream casual gaming market with simplified mobile games that could arguably be developed almost entirely by AI.
