Everyone's Unfriendly Neighborhood Batman
In mid-February, I had an idea to exploit mispricings on prediction markets. I spent the first week seeing if there was actually something there: building the strategy, testing it on historical data, and modeling slippage, fees, and execution as realistically as I could. Then I spent the next 2 weeks building the system, integrating with @Polymarket, paper trading the strategy, and tightening the simulator until it more closely matched live conditions. After that, I went live. 4 weeks later, the portfolio was up 170%. The strategy improved significantly during that stretch, but the edge held, so I added more capital. Now, 5 weeks in: • $100,238.94 in volume • 3,122 trades across 1,423 markets • 83.85% win rate • ~2% PnL on volume • ~$700 paid in Polymarket fees • 8.157 Sharpe I’ll write more about the full journey later. It’s been a long one. For now, the next upgrade is moving from taker to maker: better entries, no fees, rebates, and hopefully a much better system. P.S. If you find the account, don’t copy trade it. This is price sensitive, and being late can get ugly fast.

@PeterObi There’s no Tinubu supporter that is supporting him out of pure conviction. NONE! It’s either tribe, money, religion, or rice! Tinubu’s supporters are your proof that the devil exists and uses human agents!

Tinubu in Jos Confirms ‘Don't Vote for Me’ Prediction on Power Supply During the 2023 campaign, President Tinubu made a clear electoral promise: “If I don’t give you constant electricity in four years, don’t vote for me for a second term.” When he took office in 2023, Nigeria had a power supply of over 4,000 megawatts and lower tariffs. Today, the electricity power supply is less than 4,000 megawatts on the average, and Nigerians are paying higher tariffs. Nigeria currently has the lowest per capita electricity consumption in the world, with a rate below 30% of the African average. Africa’s average is 617kwh, Nigeria’s is 144 kWh. This means that Nigerians consume least electricity than other Africans. In a glaring display of disregard for promises and a lack of trust, President Tinubu, during a brief airport stopover to visit grieving families of the Jos attack on Thursday, April 2, 2026, stated that one of the reasons for his 10-minute stay was that the airport had no electricity. “You have no light here I fly out in ten minutes” At a time when Nigerians are enduring days without power, our leaders cannot even stay a few minutes without it. Now is the time to stop incompetent leaders—those lacking the capacity and compassion—who prioritise their own comfort over the well-being of the people and make empty promises. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Emeka's startup processed 50,000 naira every minute. Then TechCabal featured them. In 4 minutes, everything was gone. The database. The payments. The investors' trust. All because of one backend concept every Nigerian engineer skips. Let me show you what killed them.

GENIUS! People are so hungry for fairness and decency that they're now creating their own home-made electronic ballot boxes. Things don't get to this point and still stay the same. Change is coming. Do not be deceived. Change is coming.

The day i realized that vibe coding definitely needed coding experience was when I accepted a flutter gig, without experience of flutter or dart… I mean I knew general principles and standards, but I had never written dart before… So I started, it was going well, until it wasn’t…. I almost ran mad With each bug AI fixed, 10 more sprung up!, I tried to go through the code and see if I could understand and fix some of the bugs myself, Omo I almost shed tears… bruh dart humbled senior dev….not that I couldn’t understand what was going on..but because the codebase was already too far gone in spaghetti and beyond repair. I didn’t need anyone to tell me to rebuild the app in React Native that i was very conversant with. Summary: You STILL NEED some coding experience to vibe code…maybe in the nearest future it won’t be the case, but for now…IT IS, so if anyone says otherwise, they’re living in denial.

I got tired of jumping between 5 different apps just to see what’s happening in the world. So I built morningscroll.xyz to simplify my morning routine. Top stories, tech, finance, and sports in one feed. Feedback is welcome! 🚀

✅Admitted into UNILAG for Computer Engineering in 2017. ✅I struggled financially and took on private tutoring and piano gigs outside school to keep up, working with the skill I had at the time. ✅I never had a bedspace from Year 1 to Year 4. I squatted, sleeping on floors, concrete, and chairs countless times. On good days, I slept on a bed that wasn’t in the best shape. ✅Towards the end of 2021, I sold things like paper and drawing instruments to raise 100k and got myself a laptop. ✅I got back to coding in 2022 after a break of 6 years and started Software Engineering. ✅In the same year, I applied to many big tech companies, interviewed with a few, but ended up being served the rejection plate all round (100+). ✅Particularly, I got rejected by Bloomberg in 2022 after the final round (it took about 2 months of interviewing) for a summer internship role. I took the feedback, worked on them, and trusted God. ✅In 2023, I interviewed with Bloomberg again, this time for a SWE Placement Role (to use as my SIWES / IT). Thankfully, from interviewing to getting an offer took only two weeks. To be continued.
