Today I had the honour of gifting a car to my good friend and brother, Archbishop Paul Stephen Gathuo of Israel Assemblies of God, Kondoo Local Church, Burnt Forest, Uasin Gishu County. For over 20 years our friendship has stood the test of time. Archbishop Gathuo has been more than a church leader,he’s been a true peace ambassador in Burnt Forest, a voice that brings people together. This gift will ease his work and help him reach more souls as he continues serving in ministry.

The Kenyan government is pushing ahead with plans for a U.S.-backed Ebola quarantine and treatment facility in Laikipia despite a court order halting the project.

Why crucify H.E President William Ruto over a deal that was entered into during the tenure of Uhuru Kenyatta? If you're looking for accountability, start by checking who signed on the dotted line. Know the FACT'S first, then direct Ebola issue criticism where it belongs.

For the first time in 46 years, cargo has today left Nairobi to Gilgil, Ol Kalou and Nyahururu via railway. 10 wagons full of fertlisers are now destined to NCPB stores in Ol Kalou and Nyahururu. This means decongestion of Nairobi-Nakuru highway and less wear and tear of the Gilgil-Ol Kalou Nyahururu Road. This means food security for our nation. This means the reverse trip will be full of food from Nyandarua and Laikipia for markets in Nairobi and onward to Mombasa. The Sungapore dream shall not be televised. The Plan is coming to life through ruthless execution.

Kenya's Rift being high and cold probably acts as a natural barrier against ebola. Let's not bypass that God given protection with isolation centers. The authorities need to think about implications for tourism too.

I am sorry, but as an American this makes no sense to me. I know Kenya has a great health infrastructure and can do this - the question is WHY did they agree to this. Would be interested to know what kind of pressure or concessions the US government made to convince the Kenyan government
The Kenyan Vigilante@KenyanSays

“We are going to allow Ebola patients into Kenya because, during the COVID-19 period, we had thousands of patients coming to Kenya for quarantine from all over the world,” Health PS Oluga says, adding that Kenya will receive Ebola patients just as Kenyans seek cancer treatment abroad.

There are people moving between Kenya and the DRC every single day through formal and informal routes. That means the possibility of Ebola exposure already exists independent of any quarantine facility. What perplexes me is the argument that a controlled quarantine facility would somehow become the primary or only source of exposure to the public. In reality, quarantine facilities are designed to reduce risk through surveillance, isolation, monitoring and strict infection prevention protocols. The greater danger has always been undetected exposure within ordinary communities, uncontrolled movement across borders, or infected individuals presenting to health facilities that lack specialized containment systems. To date, there is little evidence linking major infectious disease outbreaks to properly managed high-level quarantine facilities. Most outbreaks spread through delayed detection, weak surveillance systems, community transmission, or breakdowns in public health response.

My thoughts are how many medics will die prematurely and unnecessarily from Ebola because we are agreeing to this. These patients are better treated at the point of contact in DRC. Let the Americans build a centre there. The truth is WE ARE NOT READY.

Kenya signed a Sh200b health deal with the US, that alone tells everything that’s going on that you need to know. Uganda confirmed yesterday they’ve also been approached to put up Ebola quarantine facility, Rwanda too took it. Expect a lot in the coming days. Collaborative.
