@aegrabs Also I’d like to mention that when you want to do some crazy level of engineering but there is no funding. Then don’t just do the engineering for a hobby , instead focus that ability on solving a real quick problem, resources come faster than anything for that.

I understand chief. But if you want to get it done , leverage resourcefulness and community.
Take for example , if you were in Nigeria 🇳🇬 you’d have free access to 3D Printing in our lab with GreenLab Microfactory.
You can salvage electronics with TME Education. And a lot more.
To buy extra components , friends and family will definitely be able to help out.
If you can get the list Proof of Concepts out the door , 1 of 100 people will support you. I’ve been in hardware for a decade now.
I see nothing stopping you if you want to get things done.

I was expecting the end to be a published comic book. Results should be our focus now and not just a showcase; we've done more than enough of that. How does he get that talent into something that he can share copies with his friends?
When you find the boy, I'll pay for his first 50 copies of the publication if you can make the raw designs into something.

how to pivot to hardware as a software engineer:
stop thinking in abstractions, start thinking in electrons.
write code → now make it move a motor.
send data → now read noise from a real sensor.
debug logic → now debug voltage, timing, and heat.
your clean functions meet messy reality:
signals drift.
latency matters.
physics doesn’t forgive.
so you adapt:
learn circuits → current, voltage, power.
learn interfaces → spi, i2c, uart.
learn constraints → memory, timing, energy.
you don’t leave software.
you ground it.
in the real world.

When I went to the village I noticed how expensive it was to hire people to clear the bush. So building something now to make bush clearing easier and faster.
