@jakemor Doesn't this break Apple and Google's T&Cs if you're taking payment outside the app but the product is entirely based within the app?

#6 — Web checkout is killer. Not for paid user acquisition, but for marketing discounts to installs who don't subscribe. You should have a URL like appname.com/checkout?app_u… that deep links to your app after purchase

@LaymansLinguist A Scottish person once told me she was working on 'data projects'. We talked at cross-purposes for a while before she had to explain she was saying 'theatre projects', by spelling the word for me!

@LittleMsFossil I enjoyed the Observer feature about handshakes and I'd also love to hear more about your journey to "becoming secular".

@KevinAbroad1 Hi Kevin. I don't mean to hijack this thread but I want to let you know about gocorrect.me It could be of interest to your followers. It's great for higher level English learners.

@hansmollman I even get nervous if a taxi driver tries to make 'friendly' conversation about details of my life. You never know where it could lead. But I'm also wary of annoying him if I seem untalkative and 'rude'.

The discussion around Sarah Everard makes me so sad about how normalised for women things like personal safety are. I remember a man following me as I was walking home asking for my number once and I was like “oh great now I have to detour so he doesn’t know where I live”

@LaymansLinguist Yes. I sometimes see English learners attempting to use 'advanced' words but they don't realise it just makes them sound weird and unnatural. Most of the time we speak with 'basic' words.

I asked recently whether anyone had tried Grammarly recently, since I hadn't done so in 10 years. Now I have. I wanted to know if the software had improved in that time. The results, in brief:
