Call with Jonas Colting this morning If you saw his post on FB (Dark Colting), rest assured, he's doing well Jonas on aging, "Hard Training is easier than Easy Training" Of course, Swedish "easy pace" doesn't always feel easy... 😉 Fun to meet his boys (2 & 4) on FaceTime

"Consistent, moderate aerobic exercise doesn’t translate to superior metabolic fitness."-@feelthebyrn1 👏 Agree 100%. I've tested some very aerobically fit athletes with *horrible* metabolic fitness (myself included!) To have both, you need those Big Slow Days!

Here's my retired runner fitness plan: About once a month, I go run a 5-minute mile. It's a pace that is moderately hard, but manageable for the time being. If it feels difficult, I up my training volume & intensity. If it feels easy, I keep my training where it's at.

@feelthebyrn1 For my typically binary thought processes of right and wrong… Finally, a perspective I can wrap my head around. Thanks

Jeff Fejfar finishes 2nd on the final Double Marathon stage and wins the overall race with a time of 21:40:25. Today's double marathon was almost one hour faster than his attempt in 2020.

A quote that came to mind... "...And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." - Nietzsche If you click on stuff that is emotionally charged, you'll see more of it. If you click on stuff that educates/inspires, you'll see more of that. #ChooseWisely

I got my flu shot on Sunday (I get it every year), but this one feels MUCH worse. I normally experience nothing. For 3 days I feel sicker than I have felt in years (Covid tests are negative). Is ANYONE else finding this true of the quadrivalent flu shot of 2020?
