A new house map analysis tonight and I am excited to start to get into this part of the election cycle.
A long ways to go until 26 BUT I think it's important to look at the different paths of winning the house for both Rs and Ds.
It will be close no matter what!

One last map before the 2026 House map tonight. In ‘24, the OH House delegation remained 10-5 GOP, as vulnerable Dem Reps Marcy Kaptur (09) & Emilia Sykes (13) were able to hold on. As the state prepares for a GOP redraw next year, expect those two CDs to be out of reach for Dems, particularly the former. While some of the surrounding Reps will have to absorb some significant Dem territory, trends throughout the state have been favorable enough to the GOP for that to be achievable. The open question is whether the GOP will target Rep Greg Landsman in his Cincinnati based 1st CD. While this is possible, it may be advisable to create a third vote sink (the others being in Cleveland & Columbus), as the area has drifted leftward over the years.
