B) Really solid game from Jarry except the 2nd goal. More conservative depth, hitting his spots on the posts and not chasing the play. Tracked the puck well

@Asnow119 I think it’s a combination of fatigue and putting more on tape for a scouting report. Attacking high glove where his glove hinges into his hip and he has to chicken wing and off the posts

@oilingoal Yeah, I wasnt a fan of how much net he gave up, but watching the replay I can admit Tampa cooked us very quick on that goal. Haha.
Ingram, as you stated, has looked off on some of these goals. Is it fatigue in any sense do you think? Is that overblown?

I was hard on Ingram last night for a very similar goal. Never came off the post as the player walked out. Never challenged. No stick/poke attempt. Just gave up the far side for the shot.
@Tys35 is this modern coaching? Fear of a cut back backhand?

Here's the Tampa one I was skeptical on. I mean, that's some ATROCIOUS defense, but I felt like id like Ingram to come out.
Thanks for the RVH breakdown. Feels like it's a % game now. Take away as much net as possible, and if you get beat tip the cap.

Practice habits are a completely different thing but this is a nothing burger to me. Some guys play with a super intense mindset where Jarry has always played super relaxed going back to his EOK days

Knoblauch acknowledging today that Connor Ingram is their starting goalie and will be given starts as such. He also said they’ll need Jarry down the stretch, and that improvement for him starts in practice to find confidence.

The @EdmontonOilers made their moves earlier in the week. Added a 3C (Jason Dickinson) and 2RD (Connor Murphy) to shore up Team D/PK...along with bringing in young energy FWD (Colton Dach). Don't be surprised if EDM pursues a solid goaltending prospect in the off-season.

At the start of the new Huberdeau/Kadri “core” (2022-23 season), the #Flames had one of if not the best defences in the league:
Weegar - Andersson
Hanifin - Tanev
Zadorov - Kylington/DeSimone
All of those players have since been dealt/moved on. Complete overhaul.

Connor Murphy, reportedly acquired by EDM, is a stay-at home defenceman. Brings size, physicality, and an aggressive approach to defending, especially along the walls and in front of the net. Can make a break-out pass but spends very little time with the puck. #LetsGoOilers
