🚨Confirmed. Arwa Elrayess is President-Elect of the @OxfordUnion for Trinity 2026. I have cancelled my standing order annual donation. I can't support an institution which elects an extremist who believes alumni are all racist and incapable of rational judgment.

I understand that Arwa Elrayess is favourite to become President-Elect of the @OxfordUnion. She is an extremist who clearly holds alumni (/life members) in contempt, believing we are all racist and incapable of rational judgment. I'll bring you the election result tomorrow.

@gamecounsel The bulk of the irregularities were raised the day before the No Confidence Poll in GA when we begun the validation process, I advised Mr Lock on the day, during the validation process and finally submissions were formally made on the Sunday evening for an invocation of SO D3(f)

@gamecounsel 35(g)-(h) were applied by the poll regulations, specifically reg 4a. M sadly does not apply as the ERO has the unilateral power under 47(g)(iii)(1) to “decide questions of procedure of the poll or count” also applied by Reg 2c

@gamecounsel Confidence votes are treated as a Poll for the purposes of Rule 47(h), which means standing committee can pick and choose the regulations - hence how we are in this mess as they intentionally fitted up George and protected Moosa given his commanding 10-4 majority.
