Pensioenhervorming. Centenindex. Beperking van de werkloosheid. Maanden theater voor maatregelen die volgens het Rekenhof samen nog geen 2 miljard opleveren. Nog geen 2 miljard. Terwijl België richting een tekort van 36,2 miljard rijdt. Terwijl er 15 tot 20 miljard structureel nodig is. De show is gedaan. Iedereen ziet nu wat deze regering echt doet: tijd kopen en vooral zichzelf beschermen. Want zodra het over hun eigen systeem gaat, verstijft alles. 6 overheden? Blijven staan. Een overheidsapparaat dat blijft uitdeinen? Onaantastbaar. 66 miljard subsidies? Niet aankomen. 17 miljard aan blanco cheques? Business as usual. Maar de burger mag wel opnieuw betalen voor symbolische ingrepen die nauwelijks verschil maken. Dit is geen beleid meer. Dit is een politieke klasse die als een verslaafde haar eigen model blijft voeden terwijl de rekening ontspoort. Ze spreken over ‘moedige hervormingen’, maar ze durven nog niet eens de spiegel aan te kijken. België staat financieel in brand. En in de Wetstraat discussiëren ze over de kleur van de rook.

I actually laughed in his face. He really thought emotional manipulation was going to make me stay loyal while he slept with other people. I packed my things that same night. A few days later, I finally visited his parents myself. His mother cried when she found out what happened. His father apologized over and over. Turns out they loved the gifts. They hated what their son did to me. I lost a boyfriend that week. But honestly? I think I dodged a missile.
